I got the chance to visit while working out of town. I am from the Dallas Texas area, and many people recommended that I stop in and check this place out. Man, I am GLAD I did. Everyone that worked there was very kind and accommodation and they had some of the best fries I have had in a long time! The entire atmosphere of the place was nostalgic and welcoming!If you are in the area, and you are hungry, make sure to stop by!
This was my husband's and my second time to eat here. First time for Breakfast a few weeks ago and went tonight for supper. It was delicious both times. The service is great! All of the workers ask how you are doing and if you need anything. We will definitely be back. Husband said it was the best chicken fried steak that's he's ever had.
This place is overrated! The food is okay, not great. Staff was friendly enough, but even they will tell you that the prices are outrageous!! Won't be back!!
Great burgers, chicken fries steaks, pancakes and the list goes on. Service is always wonderful even when they are packed...
I understand places being busy but when you walk in set down and then 2 more couples walking and set down and then get to order before you, that is a problem. I would normally say I Love this place at least for breakfast. But as for now if you (staff) can't keep track of whose next. Find a different line of work.
It has always been a wonderful visit while being in this restaurant. It is quick and even if something is left then they offer to remake it so that it's ready when you pick it up to make it right. A great place to stop if you're short on time.
I don't like catfish but I will eat theirs! The Friday night catfish is really good. The chicken fried steak is the real deal. You're not getting any frozen junk. The rest of the menus is okay; it's nothing to write home about but no complaints either.
Okay, I only had coffee but this place was great. People were friendly, atmosphere was cool old dinner vibe, and the food smelled amazing. I'm from Dallas and can't wait to be back so I can eat here. Let ya k ow how that goes.
We got chicken fried steak sandwich (2 for me), these sandwiches are outrageous big!The meat is extra tenderized and hang off the bread like a dinner plate between 2 slice's of bread (texas toast). They'll fill you up if you're hungry!Has shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato (a miniature salad with it).I gave up on trying to eat it like a sandwich, it won't disappoint a hungry man.Don't get chilli and cheese with waffle fries (the waffles are cooked to a soft point).Fried okra is almost as good as homemade.Very pleased with the meal.Just keep in mind if you order an old fashion burger you'll get charged for the cheese, for it's considered an extra.They said the order be ready in 10 minutes and it was.
