We had not eaten at this Goldie's in several years and decided to visit. It was fantastic! The hostess and waitress were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious - just like it always was! The Goldie's Dinner is always a great choice - cooked perfectly. The okra was crispy and the salad was fresh and cold! Loved everything we had. We will be back!
I hadn't been to Goldie's since the pandemic and had wanted to eat there as it is one of my favorites. I was not disappointed. Food was delicious and my server, Laura, was attentive and very pleasant. Will definitely drive the 30 miles to visit again.
This is a regular pick up place for us on a week night when too tired cook. Good tasting burgers cooked to our preference . I love love the coleslaw and hubby likes their fries. This may sound petty to some but we hate onions they make me sick so ALWAYS ask to leave them out of the little bag they send with tomatoes and lettuce. I emphasized it twice yesterday when we placed the order. Got home and two big slices of onion in it, so had to throw all of it away, so the hamburger was eaten plain, no condiments of any kind provided. This is the only place in town where I felt I didn’t have to check the food before leaving the drive in line, but I will from now on!
Let's start with the high points: Food was decent, as well as the pricing. On the other hand, saw the waitress to take drink and food order, then bring the food, then the check. I had heard about the pickle bar and was excited to see the offerings. Very disappointed with the three (yes, 3) pickle varieties. Not going to be at the top of my list to visit again any time soon but again, nothing wrong with the food or pricing but more attentive service would have been nice.
Pro's vs Cons.The con was our waitress was scolding and being rude to another waitress infront of guests, another waitress told me and my husband to be patient when we had already waited 45 minutes for a salad and a burger and we're just trying to pay, on lunch break by the way. The wait for one salad and one Burger was kind of ridiculous. PRO the burger tasted great and so did the salad.
Goldie's is always a good choice for casual family dining. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience there. Service is always friendly and attentive, food is tasty and filling and prices are reasonable. Plus I've been going there since I was a kid, so there's always that nostalgic feeling and lots of memories eating there. First fried pickles I ever had decades ago, and still my favorite. Please don't change a thing!
Asked for a well done burger, when it came out not well done, the waitress took the burger back, 15 min later a kitchen staff returned with the same burger that my husband had bitten off of, I guess instead of following sanitary regulations In The kitchen they just throw the same eaten food back on the grill to cook it longer, when telling the waitress how disgusting that was, she informed us that they have a separate grill they cook everyone’s partially eaten food on ?
I pulled up their menu online. It certainly looks good, but I didn't stay to try it. I hope the manager reads this. Put prices on the menu or at the drive thru. If you're too ashamed to show your prices, I'm not going to try your food.
It was good. I had a side salad and a cheese burger. The restroom could stand to be cleaned.
Still delicious! One of the best burgers in town. We had excellent service and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Perfect for a family dinner. We'll be back.
