The view was amazing and the food and service were absolutely to die for
Such a lovely atmosphere and ambiance. The food was delicious. and I'm looking to returning!
My expectations were too high. I expected a friendly greeting when we arrived in the restaurant. I didn’t want to be seated when we arrived, we arrived early to enjoy the bar area. They serve olives there! I expected a friendly waitress or one that pretends to be happy and friendly that wanted to serve us. I expected to feel special on our anniversary. Vast knew it was our anniversary. I expected a romantic spot to be seated in. We did have a great view. There is nothing romantic there unless you know the right people. I know the right people, but I wasn’t throwing that out there. I expected to be accommodated in a friendly way for my gluten allergy since Vast knew ahead of time. Instead I was just a problem for our waitress. Our chef sent out a nice “tasting menu” hors d'oeuvre. I expected our waitress to treat all of her tables equally. I expected a great play list that could be heard over the loud talking couple behind us in our “romantic spot”. I’m not really sure it could have been heard without them. I expected our picture to be taken for our anniversary like the couple on FB. We had to ask strangers to take it. I expected my well done steak to be simply well done like every other restaurant would serve it. I didn’t expect burned edges. I expected something wow. We were obviously dressed up for our anniversary. We actually bought something new to wear since we lost so much weight. I expected to be treated like others are treated. The thought of perhaps I should call a loved one to let them know we should be treated like they are shouldn’t have crossed my mind. I didn’t call or text about our experience. We did get a dessert that said Happy Anniversary on it in chocolate but we had to order it. We should have gone to Mahogany or to Ludivine where you are made to feel like their VIP. I cannot believe we spent that much money for such a special occasion. Totally a one and done eating experience. If you can’t get a great experience on a slow evening, I can’t imagine what a busy evening would be like. If my husband isn’t pleased, that’s huge.
This was one of the best dinning experiences I've had. My grandmother wanted to go to Vast for a while, but we had never taken the time. I'm so glad we did. She was thrilled with the experience. She adored the food, reveled in the atmosphere, and was captivated by the views.I am plant-based and teach women how to manage a plant-based lifestyle, so I can be picky, but this experience was perfection. I had the following:?A cauliflower steak cooked to perfection with a savory sauce that was purely divine.? Brussels Sprouts medley with peppers and mushroom (I could eat this EVERY SINGLE DAY!!)? Fried potatoes that were a perfect balance between being crisp and airy.? Mixed berry sorbet for dessert. I have no idea how this was done (mine DO NOT turn out like this). My mouth was in heaven! We should have never stalled at visiting this restaurant and will certainly be back.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Vast while celebrating our 9th anniversary. The only complaint we have is not within their control; Oklahoma City was very hazy that day. At night the view was phenomenal. The waiter, I'm terribly sorry that I forgot his name, was exceptional. He was polite and respectful. We had the Reverse Cooked New York Strip with the Vast Potatoes and Squash. Mouthwatering. I loved the little tomatoes the chef send out with the first course. The drinks were stout and delicious. I had the Old Fashion, they added a cherry that was probably the best one I've had. The three petite dessert plate was amazing. They gave it to us on the house. It was well worth sharing our anniversary with Vast. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.
My wife and I had dinner on the 49th floor of the Devon Tower at the Vast Restaurant. The view was spectacular, and the food was great. I had the Rack of Lamb, and my wife had the 8oz filet. They served all that with what they call Vast Potatoes in a crusty wrapper, steamed asparagus, and spaghetti squash. Everything was very well presented, and it tasted great! The desserts were excellent, and they even gave us an extra desert as an anniversary gift. The wait staff was johnny on the spot without being overbearing. We heartily recommend you give this place a try whenever you are in the Oklahoma City area. It is well worth the trip.
Fine dining in a beautiful space with professional staff, serious wine & spirits list, as well as varied menu. The prime steak was the one of the best i ever tasted (and they don’t consider themselves a steakhouse!) as were the accompaniments. Salad fresh, crisp & perfectly dressed. Red pepper soup, had a lovely spiced finish. Couldn’t stay for the chocolate lava cake, which our server informed us would take 15 minutes. I only wish he’d mentioned that earlier in the meal, but other than that, perfect marks.
Celebrated a birthday here and the food was exquisite, service was wonderful and the experience was one of a kind! I highly recommend this place if you're in the city. PS: Make sure to grab a table by the windows, you won't regret it! Oh yeah, and the view was spectacular!!!
Dined here for a wedding anniversary. Delicious food, amazing service, wonderful atmosphere, and an amazing view. I only wish we had requested a table right by the window for a full, unobstructed view. Not pictured is the cocktail I had called Ruby Red Slipper. Absolutely delicious as well. Would dine here again and recommend over and over again.
This was a whole experience! The food, the views, the atmosphere it was all amazing. Our server was very attentive and kind. He explained everything so well and didn’t make us feel rushed. The food was also amazing. We really enjoyed the charcuterie board. They also have us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary and we got the cheesecake, it was definitely the best cheesecake we’ve tried!!
