Absolutely loved the food and service! So many extras! We lived in New Mexico for years and your food was like what we're used to and then some!
The service was great. There were 4 adults and 1 child. The attention provided to the child, and the adults, was great! Ted's has wonderful Mexican food and a great atmosphere. Would recommend for everyone.
Story time: The Mrs and I had an early dinner today at a place called Ted's. It's a Mexican restaurant and their food never disappoints. Visit them if you ever get a chance. Great atmosphere. So today was some stranger's 19th Birthday. Everyone participated and sang to the young man. So, wifey being the fun loving lady she is pulled a Julia Roberts / Pretty Woman kind of vibe at the end of the singing. Completely in true form, her fist rises up, while her elbow bends as she yells, "whoop, whoop, whoop!". No big deal right. No, that's wrong. The entire restaurant breaks into a loud appreciation of her efforts and enthusiasm. We really got a laugh and enjoyed the rest of our meal. We thought the moment was over and done with until we tabbed out and we were so wrong. Patrons just had to share their approval of her actions. So they all had a great time as well. We can somehow find comedy and fun in almost any situation because of her. We've traveled domestically and internationally. One constant is her ability to be friendly. We make friends no matter where we go or what we're doing. Life! Live it! Enjoy the show. If you cant enjoy the show, then be the show!?????❤ Ted's is a GREAT PLACE WITH AN AWESOME STAFF.!
We have enjoyed Ted's for many years and at various locations. The only thing I didn't care for was the grilled veggies (I normally LOVE grilled veggies). It tasted like there was lime juice or something a little acidic on them. The rest of the meal was great and I sure love the gluten free chips!
Tonight 5/19/22 was our first visit to Ted's. We were impressed from the time we walked in the door until we left! There was a bit of a wait, 15 min. maybe, but, it was well worth it. The queso and salsa served when we arrived along with chips was very good and tasted fresh made. Spouse ordered the Mexican flag enchiladas while I ordered the beef enchilada that came with a chile relleno stuffed with cheese and a taco. It was all delicious. The wait staff were all very friendly and helpful when asked for advice. The sopapillas were perfect along with a fabulous margarita to top it all off. We will be returning soon for anther adventure in dining!
Ted's is the favorite Mexican food restaurant of a lot of people in Oklahoma City. There are a few good reasons for that. The salsa, chips and flour tortillas they serve for free with every meal is excellent. The salsa is fresh and tasty. The tortillas are the best I've had in the city (and I eat Mexican food a lot). I had the Escondido Especial (please excuse me if I missed the spelling there). It's a standard Mexican combination with two enchiladas, a tamale, and a taco. There are a lot of options to upgrade or customize how that meal is ordered. Their corn as a side is a good change for either beans or rice. I thought the meal was really tasty. The beef enchilada and cripy taco were especially good. I think the refried beans were a letdown. Also, it's important to note that dining at Ted's is going to run about $5-$10 more, per person, than most of the Mexican restaurants that I frequent, and their portions on fajitas, for example, might actually be less than what you get elsewhere for a lower price. The place is clean and bright and the staff is good here.
If I could give them a zero I would. A couple weekends ago I went there ate a taco salad I found the peeling of the avocado in my salad my fork had old rice stuck in it. Then I try to give them another chance tonight i get there and there is meat and guacamole under my plate. I had to get up and walk out. I will never take my business back there. If I want to go to Ted's I will have to drive out of my way.
This is good Mexican food. Although it’s very spicy so if you’re like me and you have a stomach that can’t handle that kind of thing, just make sure you order it without pico. It was kind of a wait to get in but the waitress was super nice and efficient. I love fish tacos and these guys make them amazing…of course after u omit the pico. And the fish sauce. Lol
Food was very good. Service was good. Prices were pretty fair. I don't really have anything negative to say about this place. Business was definitely booming though, so if you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this isn't it lol!
The food and service are really good. But I'm really disappointed that when you're 67 years old and you can't eat a big plate that they won't let you order off the child's menu. I went to a Mexican restaurant the other day and where the child's menu is it says for children under 12 and seniors over 55 I think.
