I truly enjoyed my experience at Tamashii Ramen. I’m from Tulsa, so we were trying to find a great place to eat. This has great reviews on Yelp, so it was our choice! We ordered at the front, and got the pork gyoza, garlic fried rice, spicy ramen with extra seasoned soft boiled eggs with thick noodles, and a tonkotsu ramen. The food stayed hot the entire time we were eating. The rice comes out first as an appetizer, sizzling like fajitas come out! They were layered with flavor and absolutely outstanding. I will be trying to recreate that rice for the rest of my life! Better than hibachi fried rice! The spicy ramen with thick noodles had a broth that was TO DIE FOR! Not too spicy but spicy enough to be satisfying for those of us who enjoy it. The service was great, I like their concept of paying and tipping up front and then every server is your server, and when you’re done eating, you don’t have to wait to cash out to leave! It was like fast casual plus servers. I appreciate that. The atmosphere was fun, a little loud, but loud enough to hide your ramen slurping sounds! Haha! They have anime playing via projectors on all the walls. Really enjoyed it. Thank you!
This was an overall positive experience. The broth of the ramen is very flavorful, and the service was excellent. One thing just to note, you check in/add yourself to the waiting list using a QR code. Then once you get a text, you go into the entry and check in with the host. For the food, like I said, it was good, but the noodles were a tad undercooked for what we'd expect from ramen, it wasn't too bad though, just noticeable. Additionally my ramen had ground pork, which I have never had before in ramen. This was sort of weird to me to have ground meat in ramen...I wouldn't choose that again. However, that is just a preference thing. In summary, this is a neat little ramen spot, and definitely satisfied our craving for ramen.
Curry Ramen… just trust me on this. Just as it is maybe with a spice bomb on the side. Top 5 in the meals I have ever eaten. Service is great and friendly and the place is quaint !!
Not sure why we had any expectations, as neither had eaten real ramen. The ramen while good just wasn’t what we expected. Dave the manager then offered to let us choose something else. We weren’t dissatisfied, and declined. Dave still brought us the Garlic Fried Rice, which was amazing. The ramen did grow on us both and I’ll definitely try it again. The food was good, but the service was probably the best we have ever received. I’d recommend anyone to try Tamashii!!!
I honestly want to give this 5 stars but I can't based on many reasons. The first reason would be that we had to figure out how to even get a table. There is a sign In the front that tells you to scan this qr code. If you miss the sign and walk in employees here make you feel as if you should have seen the sign. Next would be how our server made us feel rushed. The place was not really busy but she acted as if she was and made us feel rushed. Third would be the broth if the ramen. I've eaten at alot of ramen places and yes this ramen was good but not to my liking when I think of ramen.fourth would be that they were out of gyudon. We love this dish but for some reason they were out. We eventually ordered the garlic ramen. The ramen had flavor it wasn't lacking there, were it was lacking was the broth and creaminess you would think of with ramen. It seemed more water with garlic then a garlic type broth if that makes any sense. My wife ordered the spicy ramen. Same thing with the broth it was flavorful but lacked the thick creamy taste you would expect. It was more water and sesame flavor. We also ordered the garlic fried rice. That was good but as my wife stated it was more egg then rice, we wish it had a little more rice. There really isn't a kids option but they do have things they can offer for kids. I do wish they in the future take to consider adding kid friendly items. They got fried chicken and rice. The chicken was good compared to the ramen shops I have been to. This place ensured it was more Chicken then breading and it was cooked perfectly and not dry. Some other cool aspects are the decor. They had projectors playing Anime which was really cool. Please have the audio for the show instead of music. The manager Lewis did a great job checking on us. He then asked about our experience and what we thought of the place. I honestly can say the ramen had flavor and was good, just the broth wasn't to my standard of how I like my ramen. I would say for sure with the experience we had and the experience with the food it would definitely get a 4 out of 5.
I seriously loved our visit to this wonderful place. The food was amazing and the manager and waitstaff was on point. Being very friendly and helpful. Make sure you save a little room for the black sesame and red bean mochi. Veteran/Military discount offered and FGC friendly.
We didn’t visit the restaurant but DoorDashes our order. We both ordered the Ninniku Tonkotsu. It was delicious and rich!! We loved it. The store communicates well through the app. We knew when the food was ready and when the driver picked it up. It arrived at our hotel still very warm and ready. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great service, great ramen.
I don't understand what the hype is about. This is basic and bland American ramen. The pork tasted and looked like it came from a can and the broth had no deep flavor or personality.
We came across this place as we were starving. They have both free parking and parking meters. There is a QR code to scan to ensure you get a spot. Seeing how this place fills up quick, it is highly recommended to scan the code. After being seated, the atmosphere is dim, but lively at the same time. Our waitress was amazing and very informative on the menu. We had the gyoza and some ramen. Both were very tasty. Portion size for the price was reasonable. It was overall a wonderfully positive experience and highly recommended to try. They also play anime as a bonus!
