ordered 3 2 meat dinners which came with cubed potatoes & cole slaw for $18.00 each there was in total 24 ounces of brisket & sausage -with tax $ 62.00 I realize that there is inflation but $54.00 for 1 1/2 pounds of meat seems a bit much. Not Going Back Ever !!
A year ago, this was a 5-star rating. They have gone steadily downhill since. Today we got salads in the drive-thru. For 3 chicken salads and a side of mashed potatoes, it was $40. The salads have hair in them.
We had a wonderful dinner, barbecue baked potatoes, salad bar. We had a most attentive server who made the dining situation pleasant. The salad bar was excellent.
I had the Oklahoma sampler plate and it was most excellent, in fact I went back the next night and ate it again. Really good smoky flavors and great service. For reference I travel both domestically and internationally around 150 days per year eating all sorts of local foods.
The pulled pork was tasty, but had too much fat for my liking. You order food at the counter, then they deliver it to the table. The table service was friendly, but mediocre. The kids had fun making ice cream cones after dinner on their soft serve machine.
Clean environment, excellent food (brisket was delightful), interesting theme, friendly staff and best of all unabashedly Christian ownership. I suggest ordering a 1 trip run to the salad bar (though unlimited is available) and adding some ounces of brisket to the order. I'll definitely be back whenever I pass through Oklahoma City.
The Midwest City location has friendly staff and great food. Keep up the good work!
Quick and convenient to the base for lunch. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, more food than I could eat. Will definitely visit again next time in OKC.
Portions were below normal and typical dine in bbq restaurants. Service above Avg. Prices competitive
Our dining experience was at Swadley's Foggy Bottom restaurant at Robber's Cave State Park in Oklahoma, where Roman is manager. Due to my disability we were not able to enter the dining area on the evening of our visit, but the next evening we called for carry-out. The staff had been alerted to expect our call; their response was extremely warm and gracious as only "small community we're already friends" folk can be. They put together our order and had a supervisor deliver it to our waiting vehicle with a big friendly smile. And the food was outstanding! Tender sirloin grilled just the way we like, delicious potatoes, even better creamed corn. And all unexpected for very rural Oklahoma, my personal favorite, apricot cobbler with ice cream! Sorry, one serving was not enough. I had two! We try to visit the park at least annually, and this new Swadley's is sure to be part of our future itinerary.
