Aside from the food being very delicious, I was extremely impressed by the location manager. Dealing with a high number of staff. 3 of the employees whom are her very own daughters seem not to phase this superwomen. The customer service was excellent, attentive and felt up close and personal. My Highest praises goes out to this woman who manages to run a successful business and parenthood at the same time.*Try the blueberry lime pancakes
I would recommend Sunny Side Diner for breakfast or brunch. Well heck, I would recommend for any time of the day. It has a great old school diner feel with deliciously tasty food. It's not so greasy like other places. All of the servers are great and you get a family friendly atmosphere. The only thing is that we had to wait 30 minutes at around noon. But it was worth the wait.
great food, generous portions at a fair value. will definitely return. not to be confused with Sunnyside Up cafe in Moore. Sunnyside Diner has more options and tastier food.
The coffee was horrible and got worse with each sip, plus it was overpriced. For almost 4 dollars a cup you would think it tasted better. The potatoes were deep fried but still had that nice oily flavor left behind after you ate one piece., Because eating more was not an option unless you're trying to hide the taste of the rest of the food. The pancakes looked good but had a uncooked gummy taste to them and the watered down syrup had no flavor. The burnt greasy bacon was not worth even trying. The waitress was nice till I complained about the coffee then she kind of ignored us. This over priced dinner was a welcome site after our long trip but not worth the stop. This was not a part of my visit to OKC that I want to remember. If you're in the area visit the fast food restaurant on the corner.
Best accidental find ever! Glad we went and enjoyed really good food, and excellent service! Will stop again the next time we are in town.
I love sunny side diner because of the well rounded menu! Me (a vegan) and my family (not vegan) can all eat there!
This Texan found one of the best breakfasts on earth......in Oklahoma. Sometimes I hate being honest. Solid service and an owner that takes quality personally......like it used to be. No corners cut here like most of the rest of the dining world. Support the small spots and flood these people with your business.
Messed up my order, called and spoke to the manager. She was so unprofessional and just made excuses. There is no excuse when all items were marked off. Someone doesn’t know how to do their job and the manger (female) doesn’t know how to manage or have customer service skills. Pathetic location.
A real gem in South OKC. Small hole-in-the-diner that features a large menu and professionalism in the food preparation that will surprise you. The ambience was friendly, but quite noisy which made it more difficult to understand the servers in their masks. Their fare includes typical Americana cooking, but also offers very nice plant-based meals. The presentation of the food brought to our table was impressive. The servers were diligent and earned their tips. If the noise could have been better controlled, I would have given 5 stars. However, I look forward to going their, again, soon.
We waited for a while to get in, and was somewhat worried, BUT! the wait was worth it as the food was amazing. Our waitress was phenomenal and friendly. I love diners like this. You know it isn't particularly fancy or flashy, but it's full of good people and good food. Can't wait to go again!
