We ordered the classic french toast, chilaquiles, the green chile breakfast burger & chicken tenders with fries (from the kids menu). First up, this was the best french toast we've had at a restaurant & even our non-sweet eaters found it really good. Next, this wasn't the usual "kid's meal". The chicken tenders were perfectly coated and cooked, the fries were also great & the portion size was not too small or too large for either of my pre-teen kids. Then we opted for the green sauce chilaquiles; the sauce is a good balance of savory and citrus with a healthy dose of heat that isn't overpowering. Combined with the chorizo and toppings it was an all around great flavor combination. Last food order was the green chile breakfast burger, my favorite dish of the four. Each ingredient was great on its own as well as however you might mix them. Finally, I'm sure I've never asked for my coffee to be refilled so many times and I got a cup to go.Lindsay & Tammy were our servers. I am especially impressed with their patience. Not everyone is as gracious or kind when my autistic son has particularly loud bursts of communication. They gladly gave us as much time as we needed to order, didn't bat an eye when we asked for a drink refill without ice but most of all they didn't react negatively, judgementally or rudely while we went through the process of helping him get regulated and more calm. None of the staff did and that's a big deal because most of the time other customers will follow the lead of staff members and a few minutes of grace generally makes all the difference for us and them. Between the great food and fantastic customer service experience (& I didn't even mention the value, also an absolute win) we'll definitely keep Sunnyside Diner on our radar for return visits!
Wow!! What a gem of a diner we found. We had a short wait, was seated at two comfortable booths for our party of five (love that they didn't try to crowd us all in one). Our server, wish I could remember his name (Justin maybe?), was excellent. I had no idea what to order. The food coming out of the kitchen all looked and smelled amazing. They had vegan options for meals and 5 types of gravy!!!! I ordered Biscuit Debris at our servers recommendation. I would have NEVER ordered it on my own. It was freaking delicious. I ate nearly all of it, and my brother finished it off. They also have outside dining on a pet friendly patio!!!Do not pass up your opportunity to go dine here. From the excellent wait staff to the excellent food, this place is top notch.
Best accidental find ever! Glad we went and enjoyed really good food, and excellent service! Will stop again the next time we are in town.
I love sunny side diner because of the well rounded menu! Me (a vegan) and my family (not vegan) can all eat there!

This Texan found one of the best breakfasts on earth......in Oklahoma. Sometimes I hate being honest. Solid service and an owner that takes quality personally......like it used to be. No corners cut here like most of the rest of the dining world. Support the small spots and flood these people with your business.

We have heard great things about this diner and decided to give it a go. The wait was about 45 mins, which is completely understandable. The hostess’ were super friendly and welcoming even though the diner was busy. As the crowd died down and we were seated, we were told that the waitress would be with us soon. The waitress addressed us maybe 15 minutes after seating and asked our drink request. Simple coffee, creamer and water. She brought the coffee some time later without creamers. My husband waited for about ten minutes to see if she would be back with the creamer and she never returned. As she was walking by he attempted to ask her for creamer and she turned to him with her pointer finger, cut him off, and said hold on and continued to walk off. She then came back after some time and asked if we were ready to order and we asked for creamer again. We Placed our order. She brought the creamer and that was the last we saw of her for maybe 30 minutes. I asked another waitress for a coffee refill which was brought right to us. We waited another 20 minutes without seeing our waitress as other waitresses were back and forth attending to their guests. Those other waitresses were fantastic and so hospitable. I could only wish they shared that with our waitress. After some time, we decided to ask another waitress to cancel our order and said we would pay for our drinks. Well, we had to wait for our waitress to cash out….so there we were back at the problem. After maybe 5 minutes she came to our table to charge us about $7 for our coffee and we were on our way. ??♀️ MEH!
