wow. food, fun, comedy. this place, while wildly chaotic and overly casual, is absolutely delicious. prepare to enter the sitcom that is sumo ii as your dynamic and weird waiters float around the restaurant. as i write, i am observing what appears to be a six year at the bar, patiently waiting for her raw fish. at some point during our night, a young man approached us selling sweets, apparently so he could go to camp. this was not my problem, and i was trying to eat soup. His “deal” was five dollars for what looked like a singular homemade rice crispie treat in a dirty ziploc bag.however, the sushi was delicious and the waiter was high. it was a beautiful night and we were thoroughly entertained by the extreme chaos and some of the best sushi we’ve ever had, despite the rolls being actually different from what we may have ordered. happy eating!
Excellent experience. Great Volcano Roll. Took our kids and all the staff were very accommodating, entertaining them while we waited, the chef playing with the kids doing tricks and then when we were leaving they let the kids feed the fish. The hibachi food was incredible. The fried rice was AMAZING! Thank you for having a great hibachi experience!
Took kids and grandkids here today for first time. Grandkids never been anywhere like this before and are extremely picky eaters. They loved the show and interaction with chef and ate some of everything. Now they have a new favorite place to eat. I can’t say enough about the staff and food as to how wonderful it is. All I can say is go hungry. Prices are very reasonable. Thank you all for a perfect experience.
I have always loved this place. The chefs and the food are amazing. My friend and I went here to eat and before our chef had gotten to us, he was working with the table beside us and our waitress came to take our orders. We were sharing the table with two other people on the opposite side of us and his cart was in her way to get to them so instead of going the other way she kept yelling his name when he couldn't look away from the active fire to help her but she kept yelling at him so a guy at the table had to help move it since the chef could only use one hand. After that she was rude and dismissive of us, constantly rolling her eyes and speaking to us rudely. Now the chef had amazing manners and was very polite when she was rude to us and to him.
Sign on the window says “lunch special $7.99”. Then after making my order I am told that it’s steamed rice. If I want fried rice it’s an extra $2.50. Really?? $2.50 to change from steamed to fried rice?? Cancelled my order and went elsewhere. Food may be delicious but I’ll never know.
Seriously the worst sushi I ever had and for 30 bucks for a thunder roll you would think it didn’t look and taste like garbage. I immediately felt sick after eating a few pieces…. Never again!
Took my wife and son for their first teppan yaki experience today. No wait time to be seated and the young lady that took our order was attentive without being overbearing. The chef put on a wonderful show while serving up some pretty delicious food. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was the restroom. Lights that didn't work and some cleanliness/cosmetic issues in there.
Thought we found a good lunch place but today not only were the staff rude our soup containers were less than half full, asked if we wanted salad and soup that comes with the order. Then the girl was put out by getting the sauce that comes with it. We didn’t ask for anything that didn’t come with the meals ordered.You lost customers today..
What a fantastic evening! The chef's were very entertaining, the food was so good, and the whole thing was moderately priced! We shall return soon!
