I never post bad reviews about restaurants but this was one of the worst. I get it was valentines day but our reservation was 830 the last one of the night so only 1 other table besides us was even being served. All the others were already finishing their food. I have to say for my first time at shoguns I was not impressed. The service was horrible. They didn't bring out our soup and salad till after our food was already being made. Oh which we didnt even get our food till 945 because they didnt even begin to start cooking till 915. So we all sat at a table for 45 mins because Apparently it takes 25 mins to get 6 waters and 2 dr. Peppers. All of the food was burnt, like beyond burnt. Apparently medium steaks means well done?? The server continously forgot about us and refilling our drinks. The guy across from us never ever got his. Oh and it's 1015 and we are still waiting on the check to be printed because the waitress can't print them???

For my sons 13th birthday he picked here. Called asked if i need a reservation for a party of three, and was told "no" once we got there the host ask us how many we told him three, he then asked what the last name was. He said oh your dont have a reservation we said no we where told we didn't need one. He said well sorry you do have to. No where on their webwete dose it say you have to have one. If thet require you to have one then who ever is answering the phone need to know this and/or their website should say.
It's not clear what happened here, but this Shogun was EXTREMELY understaffed. They might have had 2 chefs and 2 servers.It took nearly 10 minutes for us to be seated - with a reservation. Once we were seated, it took almost 15 minutes to get a drink. We were not served our first food until about an hour after our reservation time, about 45-50 minutes after being seated.To cap it off, the chef clearly had limited or no hibachi training. He did his best, but the food was sub-par and BLAND for a hibachi restaurant, and there was essentially no show.And finally, to add insult to injury, the prices were SIGNIFICANTLY higher than menu price. We understand supply chain issues, but the difference was about 20%. Ridiculous, given the poor quality and service.I don't blame the staff. I feel they did their best, but clearly there are serious issues at this restaurant. The server was kind and patient, the chef was nice, but clearly this staff is out of their depth.We will try again after a significant period of time, once this restaurant has had time to recover from whatever disaster caused its major issues.
Would give it 5 stars, but they always seem to have a shortage on servers. Food is great, atmosphere is wonderful. It's nice when you have been so many times that your chef knows your order!
Hands down the best hibachi place I’ve been too. The quality is pristine. Service can be hit or miss depending on the server. By that I mean sometimes you will have to wait a long time for your serve to come around or cash out.
i watched the waitress stick her thumb in every dish served by her. i mean it was literally submerged in our soup. honestly just made us lose our appetites and made the meal uncomfortable. the chef however was kind and sanitary. good food but can't get over the waitress
The steak and fried rice was great! Awesome entertainment. Maybe our group was too big but it took a while to pay and get our cards back but it was a neat experience and place to eat at.
Went with some friends I already knew, met some new friends. Had a GREAT time. Would recommend this place for a group of people. Have fun be young.
Awesome time the chef and waitress was great the portions were more than expected food was delicious good setting and mood would recommend to anyone wanting to get away and have a nice dinner.
