Not exactly sure how this place is still open to be honest... I ate here before the pandemic and it was pretty bad. Decided to give it another shot and asked for the grill top hibachi. It was dinner rush on a Monday night and the parking lot was absolutely empty and never refused to cook for us because there was only a couple of us. They said that they were all booked up but literally nobody was there.
This place was very very dirty. The menus were dirty. The light fixtures were beyond filthy. The condition of the building was poor. Window shades falling apart half of the building air conditioning was not working properly, so seating was limited and we were crowded into a small space. Food did not have much flavor. The wait staff was very nice and professional. Will never go back. Location was NW 140 and May Okcy.
Awesome experience, always love going. Ben is an amazing chef. Gets the whole family to be involved and creates conversation for dinner.
If you are thinking of coming here for the first time, I urge you to go find another option. The food is expensive and not tasty. It was roughly 80+ degrees with all the grills going. Everyone at our table was sweating bullets. The grill was pretty dirty when we arrived and then food was cooked on it. I left very hot, sweaty, and cranky. The whole place seemed dirty and gross.
Bad experience. The chef didn’t put on much of a show. He squirted some oil on the top and lit it. That was it. No onion train. No egg. Nothing. We ordered steak medium. It was well done and tough. We ordered the calamari appetizer. It came with 3 strips of calamari which were like rubber and other tempura vegetables. When we talked to the manager about it she said, “When I was a server, I explained the order because people are confused.” So they know it is an issue. We returned the appetizer as it wasn’t what we ordered or expected. No credit was offered. The server was missing most of the time. The bus boy helped us more than the server. We were drinking from the bar and wanted another drink. Server never asked us and wasn’t around. Took a long time to get our bill. Manager did recook my husbands steak. It was so much better. Talked to the manager afterward and she didn’t do anything or even apologize.
This is absolutely awesome food. The sushi is unique and delicious...haven't tried the hibachi yet, but next time. The customer service is exceptional! I highly recommend this place.
Worst sushi I've ever had the brown piece that you see slimy looking thing that's the actual avocado I was disgusted. The fish was paper thin and old you can see the edges of it brownish absolutely not recommended for anyone that would like to eat decent food.
Got seated for our reservation right away. Drinks in minutes, and our chef was humorous and engaging. We were celebrating a birthday and he really gave attention to our daughter ( the birthday was hers). And the food was very flavorful, no issues there. A very enjoyable experience.
Place was a ghost town on Sunday at 7pm. Service was terrible. Chicken hibachi was super salty. Order no veggies with the chicken, apparently they cook the chicken with mushrooms and didn't bother to tell us. My wife ordered two rolls and white rice. The rice came out after we finished our meal. Absolutely terrible do NOT recommend
We arrived Saturday at 5:15 went inside and 8-12 people were standing and waiting. Waitress looked lost and helped people that arrived after us.Had a strong mildew smell from I’m assuming their fish tanksWe walked out and won’t ever go back
