Very tasty! Made FROM SCRATCH!So you need to know you'll have to wait for it- but it's worth the time!
Can't say enough good things about my experience here. Whether it's the unique drinks that quench your thirst, the staff that make you feel at home, or the food that is made from quality local farmers. I was in OKC for the first time for work and after two weeks of trying all the suggested local hot spots i kept coming back to Scratch Kitchen. The atmosphere is exactly what I wanted, a busy but intimate atmosphere. I will say that I've never had scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese like I had at scratch. This is one of the few restaurants I would travel to OKC just to have. The owners Zach and his wife Kayla really make this place feel like home and I have told countless people how much I already miss it.
Pretty good food here. There is not a lot of room inside, so we got sat outside originally. It was too cold so we eventually found our way inside. There was a very long period of time between getting seated and getting our order in. I think we were all ready to order a good 15-20 minutes before anyone came by to take our order. Near the end of dinner a table next to us had gotten too many fritters and brought us over a whole bunch. The fritters were really good and are probably the reason I will come back again.
The Fried Red Sweet Potatoes were amazing, I highly recommend trying them. The chicken sandwich used bread that I feel was designed to out perform Captain Crunch in just absolutely SHREDDING your mouth. It was good tasting, but a terrible bread to use for a thick sandwich. The fries were equally fried into oblivion and were so crunchy, but also dry, and over cooked. Like they double fried it, but at the same temp each time so it was all crunch, no fluff.
Scratch is now our go to place for a great cocktail and a chill vibe. Garrett makes the best drinks and the food is always great no matter what they have available. Scratch is a must try in the Paseo.
A few of my friends and I tried this place over the weekend because the food looked great, the reviews were pretty good. The food was really good, and that’s the only reason I gave this place any stars at all. We were told it was a 45 min wait for a table inside, but that they could seat us outside right away. I understand being busy, everyone in our group has been a server at some point. But we waited 20 minutes for waters, another 15 after that for our order to be taken, and then an hour and fifteen for our food. Nearly an hour after ordering our food (we had been there an hour and 20 minutes at this point), one of our group went inside to make sure we hadn’t simply been forgotten, since we were the only ones outside and no one had even been out to refill our drinks. The girl they spoke to very condescendingly told her that they were clearly very busy and our food would be out as soon as it was ready. When our food came, she then condescendingly told the whole table that they were incredibly busy, and sometime things can take a long time on busy days. She left without asking if we needed anything else and said “I’m assuming you want your checks?”. Another girl, who was very sweet, refilled our waters. The checks were incorrect and had to be fixed. One of my friends accidentally left her card in the check folder and called to confirm it was there. When she went back to pick it up, she was told they didn’t have it and when she told the girl she had just called and they told her it was, the girl looked again and miraculously found it. She then threw it on the counter at my friend and walked away. We won’t be coming back, which sucks because the food was good and some of the girls were actually very nice.
A very delightful place! The service, ambiance, food, drinks, all of it.My friends and I enjoyed the salt and vinegar chips, Frybread and the sweet potatoes. Although the outside area was not warm enough for us to enjoy, it looked really nice with the string lights that will likely make for a lovely summer evening. I will for sure revisit when I am back in the area.
Small but intimate atmosphere. Huge cocktail offering with a slightly smaller food menu. Food was good with nice portions. It does a nice job with being everything from a good spot to get a drink after work or even a nice dinner date. Prices to fit everyone.
Definitely one of--if not THE best place to eat at in Oklahoma. Everything is sourced as local as possible and fresh quality ingredients are always the standard. Menu changes with the season and always great selection of both dishes and appetizers as well as great bar selection.
We're back! Thursday night date night. I know, I know. You missed us. We're trying another new to us place tonight and we are super excited to tell you this place is RIDICULES GREAT. First off this place is not very big but it's very comfortable. We started out with some fry bread and it came with pimento cheese and some pickles. Holy crap, it was great!! We went with mixed drinks today and they were all EXCELLENT. They had one of the best bourbon old fashioneds I have ever had. Stacey had one called Scratch and The Giant Peach and she said it was AMAZING! For dinner I had half a chicken brined in sweet tea with pepper gravy and biscuits. Let me tell you all something. Best chicken in town and the gravy tasted exactly like my Grandpas and he was my cooking hero, which means best dang gravy around. Biscuits could of been a little better, but the chicken and gravy made up for it. Stacey Rigsby got the shrimp and grits and said it's the best around and she is an expert on that dish. She said it's so good that she can't explain it. We are going back for more soon. They have numerous drinks and dishes we want to try. Lastly I can't forget the service. The bartender took care of us and she was rad. She made great drinks and was very helpfull.
