My boyfriend and I went to dinner for the first time at Salt Grass on 07/08. We took his best friend out for his last night in OKC before he moved to Virginia the following day on 07/09. We entered the restaurant and there were two employees at the host stand discussing something about their job (I get it). We waited for a good 30 seconds to a minute before being greeted (again, fine), but neither person looked up one time even while greeting us. We then waited another few minutes before being seated for our reservation, again, with no eye contact or care whatsoever. We waited about 5-7 minutes to be greeted at the table. It was a little busy around dinner time, so again, fine. When the waitress got our drink order, she was not kind at all (whatever, we don’t need her to have a good time). When our friend asked if they have Diet Dr. Pepper, the waitress said no. So, the friend ordered water and waitress shortly laughed and smirked our friend for this (The first eye contact or smile we had gotten all evening). The experience completely declined after that. The only half decent part of this experience was the food. The staff absolutely put zero effort into us having a POSITIVE memorable experience. We will never be back!
The Chicken Laredo with a side of asparagus was delicious. Staff was fast, pleasant and made great recommendations.
Hubby wanted a steak and so we tried a new place and Salt Grass Steak house was one we’ve never tried!Staff - The staff was very friendly, greeted us very quickly! Waitress was nice.Wait time- We went around 6:15pm so there was no wait time.Food- The food was pretty decent. Really no complaints in this areaPlating- The plating could a little more presentable but for this location it wasn’t a deal breaker because of the setting!Pricing- Very reasonable!Complaints or improvements- I really don’thave any, it’s just your typical all American steak place!
Not fine dining but a good steak. For the price and availability to walk in on a Fri night on mother's day weekend, I was pretty well blown away. I forgot to get pics, but a perfectly cooked and tasty filet was delivered to my table. The salad was good with no shortage of tomatoes. And the green beans were bright, crisp, flavorful and not over cooked at all.Other options didn't jump out at me as must haves. And the appetizers are were the standard sisco variety. But if you want a good steak at a reasonable price, this is your place.
We came in from out of town party of 12 , they got us in fast, service was great and food was really good!Plus I needed a receipt because I did not remember to get one when I left and called the manager who promptly emailed me my receipt.Way to go guys that's good service all the way around!
took over 30 minutes just to get a salad and then my steak tasted like the gas stove they cooked it on sorry
Excellent steak. Perfectly cooked. Wait staff excellent.
OMG my 1st time trying Saltgrass and WOW it was amazing! Can't wait to go back, def some top steak in OKC imo! A MUST visit steak spot out with the ladies or maybe for date night!
Dropped in for dinner with a party of 4, and had a wonderful meal with excellent service. The range rattlers appetizer was delicious, the steaks were perfectly cooked, and the carrot cake was the ultimate send off. Our server, Casson, was amazing. Friendly, attentive, and patient with our special needs family members. He made our evening so enjoyable, that our family members kept raving about him on the way home! Will come back again for sure!
Today I had to wait for the food a little longer than usual. But overall I love going to pick up the food in this restaurant because they are always on time. Their waitresses were all super cool. Great environment and I will recommend it any time.
