This was a very quaint and intimate spot . Definitely a hidden gem outside of bricktown, but the food was great. Nice portion sizes and very friendly staff, knowledgeable of the food and drinks . My date and I ordered the â land and sea hibachi â with fresh sake. I thought it would be overly crowded for a Friday night but the reservations were helpful and we were able to experience the Japanese seating style arrangement . Would definitely recommend and visit again next vacation!
We know every business is going through challenges right now, especially many restaurants. We are not complaining. We ordered a sushi combo plate with rolls, nigiri and sashimi. The chef accommodated us with a changed we requested, which is awesome. The rolls and nigiri were great and so was the sashimi, except for the tuna, which was a little tough and had little taste. The seaweed salad had a dressing that was much too sweet. It's not your east or west coast sushi place. Our suspicion is that the rice and noodle dishes are the way to go.
First impression, they seemed short staffed. It took a while for them to greet me. Then I ordered a sweet potato roll and asked for spicy mayo instead of garlic mayo. Was given sweet potato roll with garlic sauce anyways... Ordered pad Thai, I'm not sure what I was served but it was not pad Thai, maybe some rendition, but I wasn't prepared for that and it was really bad. It didn't taste like pad Thai at all. Ive had some delicious pad Thai, and from all across the country. This was by far the worst. Over all, I won't be coming back. But if I recommended anything, the sushi seems okay.
Amazing food and amazing ambience!!
As always the food was outstanding. We were a group of four today and ordered appetizers and a variety of dishes from wonderful sushi to stone pots. The only issue needing work was service. I think our waiter did ok considering he seemed to be host, waiter for everyone.
We reserved a table at SAII for my daughter’s birthday. The food and the service were amazing. We had a great first time visit.
Staff was friendly, courteous, accurate and prompt. Food was fantastic as always. Even the new sushi roll presentation. Table next to us (not your fault) was loud and vulgar.
Don't judge a book by it's cover, this place looks like nothing special from the outside. Centered in a shopping center that's seen better days, you might second-guess eating here. But once you walk in the door, you're greeted by soft lighting, dark woods, sensual bluesy music, and the sound of running water. Amazing food, helpful staff, it's a great choice for date nights or fun get-togethers!
Where to begin? The edamame was decent and so were the crab rangoons. My wife ordered the steamed gyoza and they were okay. You can tell it is store bought so you can’t be upset. The water tasted a lot like unfiltered tap water. The Dr Pepper was flat and not enjoyable. The hot stone beef bulgogi was extremely disappointing. The rice was burned before it was steamed so there was hard chunks in it. The beef was over cooked and dry, definitely not worth the 18 dollars. The sushi was average at best and it was very over priced. You’re paying sushi Neko prices for sad sushi. The red canyon has fried crawfish on top and it was uncomfortably tough to chew. My wife got a fried cream cheese roll and it was soggy and extremely plain. No flavor at all. Do not get the volcano roll!! It is 90% cream cheese and 10% crab. Just enough to say it has crab In it. The waitress was very apologetic and tried her best to wait about 7 tables. She was running up and down and was very friendly and helpful. Even her great attitude could not make my and my families visit pleasant. On my way to he bathroom, I caught s glimpse of the kitchen, and it made a lot of sense. It was atrocious. I was sickened by where my food was just cooked. I would recommend that you do not visit. Save your time and money. I’ve added some pictures and the total cost of the meal. What an embarrassment of a restaurant.
Came here for the first time and completely fell in love with this place! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The Godzilla roll was probably one of my favorite. Their sushi presentation is so beautiful and outstanding. Menu is very variety .The food, service, and environment were great and highly recommend it if you love sushi! Not to mention their decor is lovely and the ambiance is very cozy and romantic!!
