Went here on a Friday night and was surprised to get seated right away. My wife and I ordered burgers. I found the burgers to be similar to that of In-N-Out (not in quality, but style. Obviously these burgers were better than fast food). I found the size of the burger to be a bit lacking especially given the price it was and that I had to pay for a side. They do offer the burgers with a thick slab of bacon on them but its like $3-4 extra and I was warned that it kind of steals the show from the burger. The one thing that this place did incredibly well is that they dice the pickles down really small. It makes for a really neat texture and removes the problem of your pickles sliding out of the burger.
Order gravy with the fries and you will know why I’m giving them 5 stars! Comfort food and friendly service!
Wow, a really new good Burger spot in Oklahoma City. The angus beef is amazing and for vegans, they had the black bean burger for my wife. The gravy fries were delicious and hospitality was great. Good beers on taps and good place to catch a game
Food all cooked spot on. Very tasty and enjoyable. The cheeseburger was great and the fried banana peppers were awesome. Service lacked a little as it took several minutes to get seated when there weren't even busy. But overall, a very nice experience. Definitely a must try location.
My friend needed to cure a hangover so we hit up New State for some Tea and tots. Don’t bring the small tummy into the 4X4 game! It is so good but will make you full fast! She cured her hangover with the chicken nugget meal! Yes, New State has some of the best chicken nuggets in town!
Seriously one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life! We tried New State for the first time last night & it didn’t disappoint at all. It was pretty packed, but it was 7:00 on a Saturday night. Luckily when we walked in, another couple were just leaving the bar. We parked our butts and had a great time. Excellent & friendly service, great local beers on tap and a very impressive spirits menu. We tried one of the Booker bourbons and oh my, it was tasty. The burger tho!!!! Phenomenal!!! Juicy patties, piled up with creamy gooey cheese, just the right amount of crunchy relish toppings and crunchy bacon. Even the buns are delicious & toasted to perfection. Holy cow, my mouth is watering as I type!! Oh….the fries….crispy, fresh and seasoned just right. Can’t wait to go back. Definitely do not miss this hidden little gem. If you’re craving a juicy, fresh & tasty burger, hip & artsy atmosphere with great music piping in….get yourself to New State NOW!!
Wanting to go to a new place for dinner a group of friends decided on New State. For a starter we got the fried banana peppers which were awesome. I likened them to a cross between jalapenos and pickles. I recommend you try them.I chose the cheeseburger and added bacon along with green beans and cheese fries. I wasn't starving I just wanted to try a few items. We all got burgers but they ordered Brussel Sprouts and new state tots. My burger was juicey and full of flavor. The green beans were ok and so were the cheese fries and tots. The show stopper was the brussel sprouts !! They were roasted just right with a good flavor.Pros: They have a full bar.Cons: They still had up full fledged Christmas Decorations at the end of January ??♀️
I was invited to have a burger. It was pretty damn good. Nice and flavorful! Forgot to get burger pics, but I did manage to get a shot of Runchata Peppermint Bark, thanks to the awesome young lady, bartender.
Today was the first time that we visited New State Burgers and it did not disappoint! Food was exceptional and service was fast! What I loved was the holiday atmosphere as it was awesomely decorated for Christmas and they were playing such good Christmas music! For someone that loves the holidays, I felt I were in heaven, lol! Just a very friendly and inviting atmosphere! We will be back!
