Their dinning area with all the garage doors needs better ventilation. If you're unlucky enough to have to wait for over an hour and then sit on the outer most tables (right by the garage doors) you will get zero air flow from anywhere if those door are closed. I'm in a sauna sweating me a** off waiting on the next blue moon so my server can visit my table again. Food was tasty but man fix the environment. Also clean the garage doors. They are covered in cobwebs and dead flies. Oh yeah be ready to fight flies the whole time you are there.
This place has gone downhill since 2017. So I called in an order and I asked for spinach enchiladas. Whoever took the order wrote down cheese and onion enchiladas as you can see on the receipt and they gave us a cheese onion/ veggie enchilada. When we got home we realized that our order was wrong so we called up there to let them know and they offered a coupon but I asked for my money back since we won’t be back. (This is their third strike). They should have said we don’t sell spinach enchiladas anymore but instead they took it upon themselves to give us something that we didn’t want. We hate mushrooms why would they give us a mushroom a enchilada like we wouldn’t be able to tell it’s not spinach?
On 4/8 we went for a night out. Was expecting good food and good service. Since we love looking at the lake, we specifically asked if we could be seated in the room that allows for great lake viewing. It was open and we were told no problem but it was going to be a 20 minute wait. We decided to wait in the bar area and had a wonderful bartender wait upon us. We got the text our table was waiting, we arrived and was taken to our table...in the bar. When I tried explaining what we requested, the girl got snide with me saying, "Calm down, lady! No need to get all excited!" That ticked us off, but all I told her was that I wasn't being rudeThen our waiter couldn't see us even though we were only 1 of 4 tables. We had to yell at him to get his attention. After all of that, he brought out salsa that had a broken chip in it! That's when we left. We won't be back.
good was delicious and service outstanding.
excellent food and excellent service we where very happy
Great food, great service!
We went to the Mama Rojas for our 9th Anniversary ?Fantastic place ?Good drinks ?Great server ??
Great place and really delicious food. One of the best fajitas in the area. I recommend going there for dinner so you could enjoy a beautiful view of the lighthouse and the sunset.
Had Carlos at the bar, and the other three bartenders as well. They moved and breathed as this well trained unit. Dancing around each other with ease and precision as they served drinks and food. The food was fantastic. My wife ordered the Mango and Guacamole salad with steak, I ordered the Mama’s Favorite Carne Asada. Best steak I’ve ever ordered in a restaurant. It’s definitely a little pricey, but between the quality of service and the quality of food, I definitely see Mama Roja’s becoming a frequent date night destination.
The chicken enchilada and the pork tamale was wonderful! The beef hard taco was mediocre at best. Salsa was good, not too spicy, and the complimentary heated cheese dip for the chips was more than awesome. I'll go back for the vhips, dip, enchiladas and tamales.
