I had this place about 7 or 8 yrs ago and it was good then, well, it's still good in my book. New location from last time, still within the metropolitan area though. I had the Turkey neck with Mac n chz, yams, black eyed peas. My husband had neck bones, mac n chz, and greens. All of it was good!! The strawberry pound cake was bomb and so was the red Kool aid. Oooonly issue we had was that both mine and my husband's meat was cold. Even another customer who had neck bones like my hubby his meat was cold too. That customer brought it to the staffs attention and the staff made it right immediately. I would go back a third time!
Its been years since (over 10 possibly) I visited MAMA E's but my wife wanted to give them another try since she was wanting some oxtail and neck bones. Thats exactly what I got was 2 dinners 1 oxtail and 1 neck bone each came with 3 vegetables and choice of roll or corn bread. I kept it simple I order for vegetables on both dinners the same (mac n cheese greens yams) corn bread on both also. So my wife liked it alot better than myself she give it a 4 and I will give it a 3. Although I enjoyed the neck bones and oxtail (both was seasoned just right and very tender) all 3 sides for me was just ok at best the corn bread was good. The price $40 and change. I will eat there again and possibly try 3 different sides.

Found this place when I was running a doordash order and have been wanting to try it out. Found myself driving by it today and had to stop. I was not disappointed. I got the fried chicken and fried catfish entrees that came with 3 sides each. I tried the okra gumbo, double collard greens, mac & cheese, and double black-eyed peas. I got two huge catfish filets that were lemony and amazing! All the sides were fantastic. The okra gumbo was so good! Even the mac and cheese had so much flavor. I can't say enough good things about this place. The hospitality was like I was being greeted by family. Everything was clean and staff was professional. I'll definitely be making this a regular stop. If I could give more stars I would.
They didn’t just stick their foot in, they stuck their whole leg in! Hands down the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had in my entire life! Seriously, you do not want to miss out on this hidden gem. The staff were kind and so helpful. Stop in, you won’t regret it!
First time here, had the fried pork chop, greens, okra, and mac & cheese. All were delicious. Definitely be back soon. Friendly staff, too!
The food is SO TASTY. Every dish flavored uniquely. Meat so tender! We ordered 7 different flavor varieties and we devoured em all. SO HAPPY WE FOUND THIS TREASURE. Thanks to Chef and Crew. Love from the Watts family.
