The food was good but the atmosphere was not pleasant at all. I have been here before when the owner was present and it was lovely. This time they were playing VERY loud, screaming type rock music with lots of F words in the lyrics. Not what I was hoping for lunch with my two daughters.
The food was amazing. We had chicken shawarma, cauliflower shawarma, a gyro, hummus with pita and fries. Delicious pickled veggies in the wraps. Cocktails were nice. Service was speedy and friendly despite the fact they were obviously short staffed the night we visited. Interior is bright and nice. My only complaint would be that it was unusually loud from other guests talking and laughing, I guess sound carries or doesn't have anywhere to go. It was difficult to hear my husband across the table from me without leaning in and almost shouting... But this wouldn't stop me from visiting again, I can hear him anytime and it's not that important haha :)
Get the sampler!! Such good amazing food. Kiera was wonderful and knowledgeable. Came for an appetizer and drink, it was delicious and a pleasant environment.
We had a reservation but we were wanting to move it back a bit. We tried calling 3 times but to no avail. We stopped by and the waitress made it clear she was the only one there and hadn’t been able to get to the phone (by that time it was middle of the afternoon and only 2 tables there, but to be fair we had called an hour earlier so it very well may have been busier at the time). She was happy to move our reservation though and when we got there at the later time they had a table waiting for us. Unfortunately the server was unable to come by for a good 20 minutes. They came by at that point just to bring waters and we went ahead and gave them our full order at that point. I was with a small group for an event so I ordered two appetizers and a pitcher of sangria for the table. He brought the sangria by with glasses and filled them up (generously) and on the last glass was half full so said he would bring another pitcher. I thought this was generous as I only ordered one. However, it was not so generous as at the end of the night I was charged for both although I only ordered one and did not ask for nor approve the second. Of the two appetizers I ordered one came out correctly, the other was calamari instead of the loaded fries. I told him that as soon as it was sat on our table and he acknowledged the mistake and said he’d bring the fries out but we could keep the calamari. A generous mistake, I assumed. I assumed wrong again. We never received the fries but were charged for the (quite salty) calamari. The rest of our food was absolutely delicious, so no complaints there. And the place is charming. A modern but casual vibe. The server was nice enough, it’s a shame the service wasn’t better though. Great food besides the calamari.
I was lucky to be able to enjoy lunch from Lua the other day. One could say it cast a spell, just like a full moon. I am not sure what wizardry was used in the Z’Atar fries, but besides being so very flavorful, they remained extremely crispy even after they got cold. One dip in the creamy garlic sauce and I knew 3 things, 1. I was in French fry heaven, 2. All vampires would leave me alone, 3. I should not kiss anyone. Lastly, the Pritchard burger, and here the wizardry continues. A 1/2 pound patty that is neither greasy nor dry, tender to chew and flavorful all at the same time. Pickles that are neither implicitly sweet nor too sour, and a brioche bun that refused to get soggy. I’m telling you, something is going on at Lua, but it’s all good. In fact, I feel mysteriously drawn to go back until I have tried each dish.
Such a delicious spot to eat! Nice and polite staff that talks to you like you’ve been friends with them forever! Great vibe & atmosphere for any occasion!
My first time placing a to-go order from this establishment. I ordered the gyro w/ fries. The fries were not hot, fresh + more than crispy. The lamb meat were crispy small pieces. Pretty disappointed.

Just happened to find this place. ordered the gyro with a side of tabooli. The tabouli had great flavors! The tzatziki sauce was fresh and thick, it stayed on the sandwich. Will come again.
The food was amazing. I got the gyro bowl. They definitely went above and beyond with their service. Also loved the music and how beautiful the place looked :)
