Had Lunch with my Husband and Friend. Service was bad. Ordered a Sirloin Steak. It was so bad , you can throw a hole in the wall with it. The Waitress should not be working there. Overall it was not a good Choice to go there. Will not go back
Amazing Angus!Attached picture is a hidden gem. It was created by okc artist Greg Burns, this man is disabled but inspiring, drawing was done with feet and other body parts. Jamil has an original Greg Burns artwork.
Every restaurant that opened in the last 10 years needs to take a page from Greg’s playbook. I was so impressed by the “ old school” nostalgia and ambiance, yes it’s real ambiance no just load background music and this following load chatter. Now the food was great, and if this place is new to you - shame on you . No I am real person that has eaten here many times over 8+ years. So glad it’s still open and thriving!
This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch date with friends. I usually get the fried cat fish, which is a very large serving cooked perfectly every time. The tabouli salad tastes fresh, baked potatoes generous. The server is always friendly and on top of things. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I like to drink coffee with my lunch but it is only luke warm at best. Sometimes less than luke warm.
First off, I've never been as I was passing through on business from Muskogee, OK. One of our local guys recommended we do lunch here. It's an old house converted to a restaurant. Upon entering, lots and lots of memorabilia, pics and autographed stuff from, sports, government and Oklahoma royalty. Got satvright away and staff was nice. Food is a bit on pricy side but yiuvget what you pay for. Oh, Portions are a bit large so go hungry. Food was up quick, accurate and good! Glad I came in and tried some new food. Enjoy!
Always a favorite go too spot. Great food and atmosphere.. Love the staff. A must for any occasion. Great pricing and awesome appetizers....
Jamil's never disappoints! One of our go to spots for a kid free evening. Great ambiance....99% percent of OK restaurants are bright as the sun inside. Customer service is always fantastic, my steak is always perfect.
We had not been to Jamil's in YEARS, but since we were staying down that way, it was nice to visit an Oklahoma City classic. The food was pretty good, although I think my husband and I both agree the steaks were just alright--this is NOT the place for the best steaks in OKC. The lebanese take on the steakhouse does make it unique, and I love their tabouli and that you get bologna and cabbage rolls with hummus as a starter. (It's worth the extra few bucks to get the warm pita with it!) As far as prices, I ordered the lobster (market price) which I knew would be expensive but my entree alone was $120-- which was shocking considering I *thought* market price was half that. But I digress...they should go ahead and be transparent with prices, as none are listed on the menu, even at "market price" Now, that said, it was really tasty, but I'm sure I would have been happy with something less extravagant had I known my meal was going to be three times the price of anything else on the menu! :) Bottle of wine was perfect, so I am thankful that our waitress was wise about wine pairing when we asked for a suggestion. Dessert was a layered chocolate cake and while it was EXCELLENT, sometimes less is more, and it definitely did NOT need vanilla ice cream covering up the flavors of all the chocolate types--there was milk chocolate, dark chocolate, ganache, mousse, etc and we had to move the ice cream to see the beautiful layers! When serving this cake with red wine, the ice cream was just in the way and didn't mesh at all with the other flavors. So if you get the decadent chocolate cake (which I HIGHLY recommend!) just ask for no ice cream. All in all, I'm giving 4 stars because it was a lovely evening. Just know you're not getting a modern, top notch service oriented experience, you're getting a classic, retro feel with nostalgia and older decor, staff, and classic menu-- and just go with the retro vibe.
My son and I had be in Oklahoma City. We showed up 15 minutes before opening and we were invited in anyway. The place was decorated with wonderful Oklahoma history and people. The staff was super friendly. I had the best rueben sandwich and my son had the best bacon burger there. The fries were huge and perfectly seasoned. This place is a must stop if you're every in Oklahoma City.
This is one of our local gems! This steakhouse has been around since the 60s and one of the only ones I'm aware of that serves Lebanese hors d'oeuvres with your meal. Steak dinners are great here! It's a cozy atmosphere perfect for a date night, small gathering, or even a nice place to bring a business associate. They have a nice selection of bar drinks. Service is consistently great!
