Great beer, pizza, and people! My favorite local spot to hang out.
It has potential. My first impressions were that in the Spring/Summer when weather is nice, it's going to be great! The big lawn and picnic tables will be perfect for gathering with friends, and they have porch swings over to the side, which I loved! But the inside is SOOOOO loud, even at half capacity. My husband and I were two of maybe 20 people and there was just no describing how loud it was, with just people having conversations at their tables. So next time we go, we will wait till it's warm and sit outside. They had attempted some noise cancelling pads on the ceiling but it's just not enough to keep the crowd volume enjoyable for anyone. Okay, onto the beers. If you like craft beers and unique beers, this may be your place. I like IPA's and they had a couple that were pretty great. But if you like just an easy drinker, nothing crazy, just a decent beer--they literally only have one that my husband found tolerable. He was not a fan of the barley wine which is something he usually enjoys--and they don't have typical flights that you may be used to ordering, because their pours are too big to be tasters. So legally they can only serve you two 6 oz "tasters" --and that just didn't make sense to either one of us. Especially if you don't care for it, it just goes to waste. My suggestion would be to go ahead and do the 2oz tasters and put flights on the menu. It just makes sense! We ordered the margherita pizza and between the 2 of us ate the whole thing. It was enough for dinner without feeling stuffed, and they do have other snacks too. The dough, mozzarella, sauce and everything is made there, so it's fresh and very good. We will be back, but they don't get 5 stars from me till they add flights or at least complimentary samples to try before ordering~! They are very friendly and again, this place has great potential. I will wait till Spring for patio weather and I bet it will be a better experience all around.
Fair Weather Friends is a very cool spot, tucked under a grain elevator. I’ve enjoyed many of their ipas and the wood fire pizzas are tasty.FWF is especially great to visit when the weather is nice as there is plenty of room outside to eat and drink.
Great Atmosphere!!! Perfect for kids and dogs too. The pizza was amazing!!!
First time for the pizza. I liked it. Got pepperoni. It was great but that is to be expected. The beer to me was just ok. With some friends. The other wife there doesn't drink. There are two options, water and Sprite. I understand that this is a tap room, but if you are going to serve food, there should be a couple more drink options for those who don't drink or don't feel like drinking beer.
Had the pizza tonight. I liked it. a bit greasy but that is what cheese is for. Beer was good. only real qualm I have is that they don't have many options for friends who don't drink. water and Sprite. My friends wife doesn't drink so not a lot of options for her I get it...it is a brewery but it would be nice to be able to come here with my non-beer friends too.
As a Business owner myself!!! I understand the challenges of starting a business, FWF Owners did an Amazing job with there space, it is very personable, artistic and modern, its bright and has a warm atmosphere, in my opinion it was built from the heart, a passionate of ones dream becoming a reality .If you can't find it read a map or get bigger eye glasses because its simple common sense, but please don't pass lower than a 5 star for pure ignorance, if it ain't on one end, then it must be from the new brightly lit parking lot .The digital map guide doesn't always get it right if you are looking for a big sign then you need a big corporation that has billions to spare to lure you in ..Seriously Fair-Weather Friend you made My day, I'm in Love, I like a change, and you have shown me many since you have opened your doors, the Brew has Heart, Has love and tastefulness depending on your pallet, Quality fresh and if you love a local brewery , make no mistake FWF has made there first step into the light. Let's gather for a business meeting, a casual drink, a moment to unwind and relax. My review is definitely a 5 Star , I'd give 10 but only 5 are provided, the staff is always friendly and attentive, the brew as in many varieties are fresh , and the Wood burning pizza Oven gives a New meaning to the Pizza Made there. I look forward to seeing you grow and inspire others in your community to make our great city Better. You sure have inspired me.
Phenomenal beer, tasty, in-house pizzas, and the most friendly people! It is our favorite spot in town! Just opened their bottle release, Cowboy Siesta, to share with some family!
Great beers, hard seltzer’s and the best wood fired pizza in OKC! Large outdoor space with picnic tables….family friendly! Sooooo gooood!!!!!!
FIVE ENORMOUS SHINING GOLD STARS. You come for the great outdoor space beside the Purina plant, but you stay for the wonderful amenities and pizza. Great selection of beer, haven't had a bad one yet.
