Dot wo was always my go to restaurant when we want a family dinner but last week was a disappointment. The food was okay but the portions were too tiny. We ordered some dishes with a quantity of two so they combined two dishes into one. When the food came out , it looked like it’s just one order, not two. We feel like we got overcharged for a little food. Absolutely an disappointment!
Disappointing. This is my second time ordering and gave the place another try after a mediocre first experience. The duck was extremely, extremely dry, the flat noodles were mushy and melted together into a glob of goo noodles (i've never had such mushy noodles before), the soft shell crab only had 2 decent size pieces and the rest of the 3 pieces were small, quarter sized batter pieces that had no crab... It was also heavily breaded, mushy, and bland. The Peking ribs were also heavily breaded, hard, and overly sweet. Food is all edible, but it's mediocre at best, and I find myself not even wanting to touch the leftovers even though I hate wasting food.I really wanted some good, authentic Chinese food but perhaps takeout is not the way to go. Unfortunately I've had better flavor food at American Chinese restaurants, and that's coming from a Chinese person. Some others seem to have better experiences with dine in, mine were only take out.
Best for America-Chinese in OKC area! They offer a traditional menu too for dinner. I used to get their lunch specials when I worked nearby. Great value and the food was amazing. I love their sesame chicken and hot and sour soup. The service was always great too. Wish I lived closer now, because I can't find anything that is as good as Dot Wo
I will never eat here again! I used to go here all the time pre-pandemic, and they were great. I went back during the pandemic and it was horrible. It’s been months since I’d been back and decided to try it again. The halibut was spoiled, the the pancakes for the Mushu had mold on them! I was so disgusted that I didn’t eat anything else. It was very disappointing to say the least!!
We ordered take out with 4 entrees plus 8 egg rolls and received plenty of duck sauce but only 3 soy sauces. Seriously. Not even one per entree. It was ridiculous. The food was fair. It’ll be a while before we return.
Will never go back, waiter took our drink order as he sat us. 7 minutes later a party of 5 were sat. 2 minutes later, the party of 5 received their drinks and were giving their order to the waitress. We were still waiting on our drinks that we order 7 minutes before the party of 5 arrived. Service sucks !!!
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The cost is only minimally higher than take out Chinese and well worth it. The seating is comfortable. The temperature is always appropriate. The food is better than take out. The service is great. One note. If not there for a lunch special, and if you're going to order soup and egg roll (extra), then if your main course is on their dinner for two or more, do that. It will cost the same and you get more.
Food was delicious and you can’t beat the sound of Jazz playing while you dine ..
I am from Asia and at Dot Wo... Man!! The food is ALWAYS so good. Always spot on for flavor, spiciness, temperature... This is my go-to place whenever I want Chinese food. The service is fast and even the food is served quickly! The servers are proactive. I never have to ask for a to-go box, they ask me if I need one. They are always around if I need them, they don't disappear.
Good service. Everything was very well seasoned & great portion. Loved everything. Staff gave great recommendations too.
