We LOVE Dales. The service is always awesome. The food is amazing. If you want good BBQ, come to Dales and get the chopped brisket and ribs.
Food is good, they close at 7pm, and will not let you eat inside if you get there at 650, but to be fair why in the hell would they close at 7. I won't make the trip again.
Was at ace hardware and saw a bbq place I haven’t tried. I got a lb of the shredded brisket and half a slab of ribs. The ribs were ok nothing special however as you can see the brisket was awful. First thing with brisket is it should be good enough on it’s own. If they have to add sauce to it you know something is wrong. And this was a mushy mess the consistency of canned ham salad just gross. No one would eat it and I have boys who will eat most anything! If you want good bbq go to nw 39th and meridian and drop by jack’s bbq the best ribs ever!!
I love Dale's. Sometimes the ribs are a little tough so I put them back in 300° oven for about an hour, the last 20 min. I add any other meat from Dale's to warm up. Plan ahead. Order early.
Been going to Dales for years usually very good, this time not so much. Bought a rack of ribs and by the time I got them home(2 miles) and opened them up they were cold.They had gone up 20 percent and quality had dropped 50 percent, tough couldn't get off the bone had to microwave to heat up to eat. Extremely Disappointed. Had better from Crest. Won't be back for ribs.
The food is good with good portions but their ribs are boiled. Why do bbq places do this? Several do. It's horrible to do this. Why dont you cook them with low and slow smoke? Don't say it takes too long or it's too cost prohibitive. Some restaurants still smoke their meat from start to finish. For example rib crib.
I make it a point to try a BBQ place anywhere we travel. After eating at several great places in Texas, Kansas City, etc. none can compare to the exquisite taste of Dale's chopped brisket in South OKC. I don't know how they do it! Another huge plus is they have really good fried okra. BBQ Spuds are pretty good as well.
Ordered 5 meals to go. Cost was $1.50 more than posted on website. All orders were wrong when got to place. Customer service was rude and hateful. And when asked if I could buy extra sauce they got even ruder. Will not return wasted $50 on lunch. 1 star was way to generous
Have enjoyed their chopped brisket for several years now and have bought a couple of slabs of ribs recently and they have been really good. Use to get another popular places ribs but they had really gone up. These actually beat them and we're a few dollars less. Give them a try.
Not going to be back. Saturday night at 6 pm we are ordering and are told they ate out of most meats we wanted. They were also putting up chairs and sides available were minimal. I can understand that they need to be preparing to close but this was dinnertime. No wonder they didn't have but one couple there. My family and I will be going elsewhere.
