This place is great! The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a clear sense of identity. I took my food to go, but I certainly wouldn't mind eating there when I have the time.The food was perfect. You can taste the smoke and love that is going into each item. Smoked chicken was expertly seasoned and still moist after smoking. The ribs were thick and tender. The cornbread, divine.
BBQ joints tend to be good in its own way, and this is one of them. Great and friendly service. You get at a lot of food for the money. Meats are nice and smokey, and the added flare is the grilled onions.
We had a great meal here.... the place is clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious! I ordered a loaded baked potato and received something the size of a toddler's head and stuffed with excellent brisket and toppings. We'll be back!
From the smell when I walked in to the last bite, it was an enjoyable experience. I had ribs with the mac & cheese & my coworker had the "Hot Sandwich." Both were excellent - the ribs had a bit of sauce on them. They were not falling off the bone but tender & delicious. The sandwich is spicy & tons of flavor. The mac & cheese is creamy & good. This place is definitely om our lunch rotation now!
After our church meeting we bought 3 dinners for takeout. This was the first time to try Cornish Smokehouse and my husband was excited about trying their smoked fried chicken. When we got home we discovered that instead of the 4 piece fried chicken dinner, we were given the smoked chicken wings dinner. We live near Mustang, so we just made the best of it.I tried to call the restaurant, but they just have a recording. I also wrote them an email that is listed on their website, but never received any reply.We liked the pulled pork and the bbq sauce it came with, the smoked chicken wings, the onion rings and baked beans. However, we won't be back because of our disappointing first experience and lack of customer service.
I don't know where to begin... I called in a pickup order at 11:05am they open at 11:00am. I placed two separate orders one for myself and a second order for someone else and was told in about 30 minutes it will be ready. I show up at 11:30 and the door was locked but someone came right over to open it. First bad sign should've been the 30 minute wait for smoked meat and second sign that the door was locked at 11:30 when they are spouse to be open for business. I went in and said I had place a order over the phone and waited till 11:55 for my food! Third bad sign being a man and woman came in about 10 minutes after I did and got served before i got my order i called in 30 minutes before. They had practically nothing ready and all I ordered was ribs, 2 sandwiches, 3 sides, and 2 desserts so nothing crazy. Food was cold when I got home and I had a 6 minute drive from the restaurant to my home. Ribs were extremely over cooked they were basically jerky on a bone and taste like lighter fluid they most likely used to light the pit. The baked beans I ordered had pulled pork in them which made the entire beans taste like lighter fluid too. The only thing HOT was the damn cake and couldn't taste it because of the damn ribs... I didn't get my onion rings I got okra and I only got one receipt since I had pais cash for one order and card for the other and I paid separately. Cornish might have good reviews but my God what happened here? I will never go back! Essentially $60 down the drain for a mouth full of lighter fluid.
I have eaten quite a bit of BBQ in Oklahoma and this is the best. I am very picky with BBQ so I don't eat it often. The ribs don't need sauce at all and the sliced brisket is thickly sliced like you would do at home. Sauces are good too. Sweet tea rocks too. Don't waste your money at other spots and come here.
Drove by the day b4 and it smelled wonderful. Gave it a try the next night and it was very good! I had sliced brisket, coleslaw, the hubby had sliced brisket, green beans, and everything was soooo good. Oh, and the cornbread, yummy. Staff was busy, but they were still friendly and cared about each order.
I've been here several times and have tried something different each time. Everything has been TOP NOTCH! Ribs out of this world the sides are absolutely awaome! A loaded potato that is out of this world with flavor. Today I had the smoked fried chicken and it just may have been some of the best yard bird ive ever had. And to top it off you are always greeted and served with a smile! A small clean friendly hole in the wall you dont want to miss.
we went for the 1st time this evening, it was the best experience ever and the food was phenomenal
