The desayuno chapin with asada and a Nutella latte is my go-to any time I’m in OKC. I won’t leave town without eating at Cafe Kacao. I steal bites from my kids’ Nutella pancake, too. The employees are always so kind and attentive, too.
Stepped in here for lunch at the last moment. Wow! What a place. The food is so good that there was a huge line outside the door people waiting to get in. There was a 30 minute wait for lunch. As I was by myself I got seated pretty quickly. The inside of the restaurant was completely packed. This is always a good sign. If you like Latin American food you will love this place. They serve all the classics plus and impressive selection a coffees. I ordered my favorite chilaquiles with an egg. I also added carne asada to the mix. The corn tortillas were nice and crispy and not soggy which some restaurants unfortunately do. Next time I will bring my wife and try something else. Keep in mind that they are open during a limited period of time throughout the day. Seems like mostly breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend
Went during weekday for lunch. I had heard many positive reviews, but never want to go because of long waits. I finally went to see all the hype. It was excellent. The food and ingredients all tasted freshly made. The flavors were unique combining sweet plantains, garlic sauces, spicy salsas. The portions were ample size and left enough for a second meal. The service was really good. It can feel a little crowded or packed in, but that doesn't bother me. Recommend using the no wait app.
This place is ridiculously good. It’s full of friendly staff and the food is top notch. They have a great menu with a great coffee list. We opted for Cuban omelette and ranchero omelette with a berry pancake to share. Out of this world. This place is the real deal. Excellent staff and excellent food.
Super amazing Guatemalan Latin cuisine! Coffee with a Latin flair, adult beverages too! This place was super busy, I recommend reservations. Nice atmosphere and amazing wait staff.
The best coffee of my life. And I’m not exaggerating. The food was very nice, I wouldn’t line up for it for 4 hours like the waiting time is often on weekends but that may be because I didn’t get one of the popular dishes? My waiter was great, friendly and attentive. I would come back for sure!
Wow, talk about an experience! The food was delicious, and the waitress we had (she was wearing a bandana on her head) was so attentive and nice. The wait however you need to be prepared for. We were on a waitlist for 2 hours, but when we checked in, I think it was only 30 minutes? So definitely put your name on the list; check in at the actual restaurant (through text) and stay in the area!
Amazing flavorful food, excellent service, loved the vibe here we were able to get seated and waited on right away. Highly recommend!
The food is great and our server was the nicest, but the manager has no manners and is really nasty to the costumers. Very disappointed!! Love the food though so I recommend ordering takeout instead of dinning in.
