Stopped here on our first day in town. We arrived shortly before 9:00 to try their donuts only to find they were pretty much sold out of everything except regular glazed and cake donuts. I asked if they had any more regular frosted and they said no. Seems crazy for only 9:00! We got a dozen of glazed and mixed cake. The donuts were ok, but not the best we have had. Wish they would have had more variety to choose from. A missed opportunity.
I've been coming here for years and it is less frequent as time passes. The experience gets worse as time goes on. My biggest gripe is the building. It is in sore need of a renovation. At a minimum, some repairs. Missing ceiling tiles, flickering lights...The service is sufficient but lacks in friendliness. I felt completely rushed to decide on an alternate item when the one I wanted was 86'd.Lastly, the quality of the product isn't as good as it used to be. I found the doughnuts today to be a bit 'rubbery'. Some of the doughnuts had irregular shapes which is minor, but indicative of the direction of the product quality.More than anything though, they need to improve their facility.
This place is legendary around OKC but I don't know why. Everything we had was overly sweet. As nice as the staff were, my dentist would probably increase their fees if I returned.
First time at location. The doughnuts were delicious. I was not pleased with the cookies they had out. Definitely not fresh taste old and stale. Will not be returning.
I gave Browns Bakery a picture and they BROUGHT IT TO LIFE!!? It was such a big hit!! The cake was moist and delicious. The icing was to DIE FOR. The decoration was SPOT ON! Browns bakery is my go-to for custom cakes. Thank you Barbara for this beautiful cake❤️❤️❤️
I had heard a lot about Browns Bakery on the Sports Animal and was in the area and thought I would give it a try. Boy was I in for a treat, I got a fritter and honey cinnamon roll and the texture and taste was the bomb!! I am a big fan of sweets and bread what a great combination….???
My cousin and handicap aunt visited this bakery today. Although the pastries/donuts were delicious...they weren't delicious enough for us to make a return visit. My 1 star rating is due to customer service not the food. The older lady who "helped" us seemed put out by taking our orders. Keep in my mind this was our first visit...we weren’t sure of what to order and asked a few questions. AND the bakery wasn't busy... I might add. Personally...I can get donuts closer to home with MUCH better customer service.
I got to try some donuts from Brown's bakery. 75 years of excellence is definitely worth being written on the box when they give it to you.I had a raspberry Bismarck and chocolate icing topped Bavarian cream filled. The texture of the pastry was amazing and the toppings and fillings were great in taste without seeming artificial.Great work.
I was excited to be in such a famous bakery, but I think it's pricey. The canolis were good though-I tried one and didn't like how expensive they are for just one pastry! There is plenty of dessert on the menu that we will have to try sometime soon; luckily there weren't too many people when we came here today so service wasn’t slow at all or anything like that because even with rush hour traffic…
I love the owners and the staff here they are amazing and so sweet. Ive been going here since I was a kid
