First off. The decor was giving latin vibes all the way. The food was amazing, so hot damn good! On top of that it was fast like 10mins after we ordered. Sebastian was our waiter kool kid made us feel comfortable "1st timers" Now them drinks ????? are on point. When you get one you'll ? what I mean. We enjoyed the loaded queso, the arturos tacos and the tres chiladas and it was all very good. The drink Lise was pretty nice, I just wish that they didn’t rush things quite so mush. For example, before you are even finished dining that have already dropped the bill off.
We got take-away for the first time here. Everything was pretty decent. They have a nice kids menu, which goes a long way these days. Plenty of selections at decent prices. The grilled cheese and corn dogs both came with fries. The fries were good and the grilled cheese and corn dog both got thumbs up from our little guys. The kids quesadilla was good as well with a side of rice & beans. We split the chicken fajitas. They were pretty good and plenty for two of us. Really the only let down of the meal was the hot salsa - I think it was habanero based and just did not suit my fancy. It did not have much heat either. Overall we'd carry out again and hope to be down that way sometime to try the dine-in experience!
One of my recent favorites! The mango chicken is phenomenal, and the coconut rice is fantastic.
The salsa is always fresh and amazing (and we try it wherever we go)! The food is seasoned perfectly and always tasty! This is our favorite Latin spot in the OKC Metro! The staff are friendly and prompt! There’s no other place we decide to have “Mexican food” over 1492!!
Food was great, however, while we were leaving (after 9pm) two employees were smoking weed in the parking spot right next to us while we were putting our child in the car seat. The smell was very apparent and unwanted. We recognized them when they exited their vehicle and went back into the restaurant. At least park far away when doing that stuff and not on the front row in front of the restaurant.
The staff was great, the margaritas were well done, the food was above average. I had 3 tacos (pork carnitas, pork al pastor, fried fish), rice, beans, chips, salsa, queso blanco with chorizo. The pork al pastor was a bit fatty, the pork carnitas were flavorful and tender, the fish taco was ok. The margaritas (Patron tequila) were smooth, flavorful, and balanced.
The food is amazing and the staff was absolutely amazing! Anthony, Krys, and Bash we're super attentive and engaging! Great first experience! Definitely recommend!
The best Latin food in OKC! Great mojitos and mole enchiladas. Very friendly staff!
I loved 1492 for its quality and freshness. The waiter was so polite and invited is back for Taco Tuesday and brunch. The mojito was perfect for me too.
