After long car trips, nothing excites me more than seeing that Waffle House sign. It's made to order, hot and fresh. The 3rd shift staff is so friendly and easy to engage. I only eat there after 6-8 hours on the road, coming home in early morning hours. I would recommend this place for its availability (24/7), hot food made to order and super friendly staff.
Yah know, like the rest of us there are good waffle houses and there are really, really bad waffle houses. To my surprise, the Norman, Oklahoma off 26 th and main is completely above the crowd. The staff are immaculate and Bravo to the morning manager and grill staff. They smile, they welcome you, they say thank you when you leave and the food, service is just what the hungry traveler needs. Since I live here, what a discovery. 5 pancakes straight up is my review. Most amazing place on earth!!! ? Idk how you could go wrong with eating at WaffleHouse. Nice friendly staff clean restaurant. ( Texas Bacon Chicken Melt w/onions, hashbrowns ex crispy, and a waffle with sweet tea!) ?
1/29/22 @ 0300 - Entered restaurant and sat for almost ten minutes before anyone even acknowledged our presence. When they finally did, we eventually received our coffee, but had to request creamer and even a spoon to stir it with. We then enquired as to why the temperature in the place was far colder than the 27 degrees outside. We were informed that "the cook was hot standing in front of the grill" and since she was "the only line cook currently on third shift", they wanted to "keep her happy".Upon my telling him (Mike), that they were making the environment very inhospitable to their customers, we were informed that "in this case, the employee comes before the customer".In general, the three employees there during this time were barely aware, much less civil to the customers, and were gossiping and cackling like a gaggle of hens.My husband and I are regulars to this particular restaurant, and this has been the worst experience we have had, by far.And they got our orders wrong. Both of them.
Fast and quick food. Really good. Will go here again. Employees where not very professional. It's a small store and a little horse play, But they where very responsive. All in all hib done well.

Waffle House my favorite breakfast place to eat at. But something has changed. Waffle House is known for its beautiful sweet tasting waffles for many years I love. But now they can't warm up the syrup. So they give you cold syrup with almost Frozen butter on a warm waffle that turns your waffle cold. I asked the employee why do they do that she replied back and said if it means that much to you just go to IHOP. So I left and went to a different waffle house and it was the same thing but the employee at that waffle House said that they no longer can warm up the syrup in the pots they have. The order came from upper management. So who can help me out with this is this for all waffle Houses or just for Norman Oklahoma
From out of town but a long time kitchen manager this morning was amazing the BOH was on point rolling and didn't miss a beat. The FOH was nice polite fast and friendly. Watching the two teams work together was great. This crew together everyone of them was on point. Upper management need to take note and reward this team 11/72021 0800.
My favorite Waffle House to go to in Norman. Everybody is always nice, and have never had any complaints with my food. I feel terrible I keep forgetting her name, but we always get the same waitress and she is awesome!
