We went to Volare because of good reviews. The service by our waitress was fast and our pizza was even faster. The place was interesting in decor, a little to loud for me though. My only real complaint was the bar. I was seriously worried we wouldn't get our beers in time for the food. I could see no reason for the delay, they seemed to be standing around BSing.

Called ahead of time about a reservation and they said they didn’t take them and to just show up. We walked in and told them our number at 6pm. They proceeded to tell us they wouldn’t be able to seat us at all………. I understand it’s graduation weekend and you’re busy but don’t tell someone to show up and then rudely tell them they won’t be able to be seated. Should of had a sign to let people know if they were going to be that packed the rest of the night.

Ordered an order through door dash. The order was placed. My husband showed up at the time of arrival. They ended up telling him that our order was lost. So they had to put our order in again. We had ordered the (7) tenders, but only got a total of (4) for 13.00… Then, I ordered Mt. Dew. The Mt. Dew was super diluted and tasted like dirty water. Super disappointed in this experience and probably won’t be going back here ever again.

I love this place but who ever answered the phone last night at 9:30p.m was so incredibly rude. I called to make a to go order when they close at 11pm. The lady that answers the phone tells me that they aren't doing any food right now then hangs up on me? I have never seen such unprofessional and rude phone manners. I suggest they find someone else to answer the phone or fire her.

Ordered a Gates of Eden with chicken to go, upon getting home I opened the box to see what appears to be a piece of chicken with a bite taken out of it. Called Volare to tell them, I was told by the young lady that answered the phone that they shred their chicken at Volare and since she could not actually see it there was nothing she could do unless I wanted to bring it back to the restaurant. I brought it back to the restaurant and asked her " if it were you what would you think about this piece of chicken?" She proceeded to take her phone out and while taking a picture of the chicken she told me again that it looks like a shredded piece of chicken to her. I was taken aback at her response that she didn't know the difference between sliced chicken and shredded chicken. She asked with attitude if I wanted the salad replaced and I polite said yes that would be good. When the replacement salad was ready she walked over and handed it to me, I thank her for her time as she turned around without acknowledgment and walked away. The pure arrogance and holier-than-thou attitude of this young lady was so apparent that it's hard to believe that Volare management would allow her to answer the phone and greet incoming customers. Sad part about all of this is that I absolutely LOVE their Bee Sting pizza (I add Calabrian chilies and Prosciutto), it's is fantastic but her attitude is a deterrent to actually going to the restaurant...how sad is that, customer service just ain't what it use to be.

Norman is a pizza desert. There isn't much that can be done about that when everyone accepts greasy bread with heavy cheese as passing for pizza. If you've ever been to a pizza city, you will know straight away that Volare is the only real pizza in the otherwise pizzaless landscape of Norman. Forget what you read from a bunch of people who've never had pizza outside of Oklahoma. The more popular so called pizza places would all fall over dead if they tried to open in a pizza city. Volare on the other hand would stack up well in just about any city in the world. Norman is extremely lucky to have this gem. Now please, go learn how to appreciate a real pizza when you have the chance. The view from the rooftop is also outstanding. Volare pizza is legit and it's the only one in the whole town.

I’m originally from Southcentral Alaska, but have been in SE Oklahoma for a little over a year. Alaska has some amazing pizza joints, but I’ve found good pizza to be very uncommon in Oklahoma and Arkansas. I so wish I’d found this place sooner, because I’ve wasted quite a bit of coin on less than average pizza everywhere else. I still live a few hours away, but will recommend this place to friends and family and I’ll definitely come here for pizza and other delicious menu items whenever I’m in town.

Wonderful food and service as always. A good place to eat on campus and relax and have some drinks.

Bartender was very inattentive and seemed to only focus on a select few sitting at the bar. After waiting over 20 minutes for the appetizer, it was ice cold. Waited for over an hour on the pizza and that too was room temperature at best. Brought it to his attention and said he’d mention it to management but there wasn’t anything he could do about it immediately. Definitely won’t be back.

Best place in Norman for cold pizza, hot alcohol, and a comfortable chair to sit in for an hour and a half while you wait on it! This place used to be a favorite and I always recommended it as a “must go to” place when friends came to town. However, over the past few visits, my opinion has sadly changed. Lack of knowledge, care, and attention of the wait staff is incredible. The soda was flat, the cheese on the pizza wasn’t melted, dough was raw, and the chicken had a similar consistency to tofu. I’m not sure if they are cutting corners due to product costs, availability, or something else but their management needs to address some of these things. It’s sad for a place that was once so good to fall this hard.
