I really want to like this place. I like the retro look, and vibe, and the simple menu. The problem is the quality of the food is not very consistent. Sometimes, their food is excellent, but other times it's pretty terrible. During my most recent visit, my burger had grilled onions that were burnt to a crisp. I like the nice and caramelized, but these were beyond burnt, and there was a lot of them. Additionally, the bun was burnt.They weren't that busy, so I don't understand why they would ever think it is okay to send something like that out.
I know the burgers here get rave reviews, but I wasn’t in a burger mood this night. The group I was with did want burgers. I decided to get their one salad, called “The One Salad”. It sounded really good, especially with the pinto beans that came on it. When I got the salad, unfortunately it was mainly lettuce, fritos, and a 5 or 6 pinto beans. Might as well not even mention the pintos on the menu. I picked up a Wendy’s chicken salad on my way back to the hotel.
Tucker's Onion Burgers is the place for a great, cheesy burger when the mood hits you. Fresh made, deliciously cheesy and just plain yummy. If you are needing a quick and easy place to get a burger that hits the spot, then Tuckers is for you. The restaurant was clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. When I'm back in the Norman area I'll be sure to stop by here again.
My onion cheeseburger was amazing. They really do grill the onions and not just throw them on the grill real quick. The housekeeping was immaculate. I almost wanted to started running my fingers around the edge to see if I could get some dirt but I didn't. Just know this restaurant was super clean. Now the only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is my fries. To be fair I drove 15 minutes home but my fries were cooked too long. I didn't like them. I'll end on a positive note. Make sure you get a milkshake to go with your burger. Trust me...
Delicious food! They use peanut oil for their fries, so if you have a nut allergy, be aware! The burgers were delicious and juicy!
Nothing wrong with the food, but honestly it's just not as good as some other places. The garage, steak and shake, and Freddie's are better choices.
I was unsure when I first arrived because I expected it to be similar to the restaurant “Freddy’s”. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my food! The food was amazing, absolute 10/10! I will definitely return and will absolutely recommend this restaurant to others!

So so. Nice clean place. Staff pleasant.I’ll be honest for us the food was only fair.The beef had no taste no flavor is what I’m trying to say. The grilled onions were grilled to death!! Again no flavor. They should’ve been sautéed the onions something like Worcestershire shire sauce or something to give them some flavor plus the onions were grilled cooked boiled whatever far far too much. They didn’t even look like grilled onions they were just little tiny strings of onions.,,I’ll probably go and try a chicken sandwich next time I’ve had butter burgers out of dozen other burger places I can think of..
First time trying Tuckers. It's got a great flavor and the employees are very nice. I got greeted walking in the door. The burgers came out and oh my they are delicious! I got the sweet tea and this place has lemons for your drinks. Yay! It also has a very pleasant atmosphere.
