I used to love this place but the portion sizes have decreased so much last last few times I visited. The drinks are still good, but the food quality is just not great. I especially don't recommend the fried pickles (they are my favorite bar food, but the Mont found a way to make the too thick breading taste like chicken nuggets), just go to logies or O'Connell if you want good food and drinks.
Edit: the bar tenders were great. Harrison and Josh were very accommodating, entertaining and friendly. 20 stars for them. But the kitchen manager is terrible. I ordered a burrito and my girlfriend got a sandwich. Her sandwich came out over 15 minutes before my burrito. She was trying to be polite and wait to eat, then tried to offer me her food because of the delay. Then when the burrito finally came out, the rice was under cooked. It made for an awkward dining experience. I'll be back because the service was stellar, but I'll get something that's more simple for the simple minded kitchen staff. They need to make some changes in the kitchen. This was 4/30/22
Great atmosphere and service! Always a must when in town! Love the swirls
Absolutely the worst service we've ever had. I truly don't see what everyone sees in this place. The young lady sitting people tells us it will be around 10-15 minutes and 25 minutes later they clean off a table and we ask about it and she's informs us we're a party of 4 and the table is setup for 5 and rolls her eyes when my wife says ok does that matter. Whatever happened to good service? Check this place off the resturant list in Norman!
Really disappointed in professionalismI get it’s been a long night and you probably were overworked but this young lady rushed us and kept coming to say if we were done and would repeat we only had 13 minutes to order food before kitchen shuts down(we got the wrong order but we sucked it up cause we were hungry) then by 12:15 she told us we had 5 minutes left to order any other drinks cause bar was closingShe just kept trying to rush out of there and when we were leaving we saw the bar filled with people and they were still drinking.Long story short do not go there around 10:30 specially on a game day
The Mont is the place to go if you’re visiting Norman. Very fun atmosphere, great food and great drinks! Also, everyone goes here on their 21st birthday because they have a huge shot menu and give you a shirt. It’s fun to sit on the patio but no dogs are allowed :( That is literally my only complaint! They have lots of different food options so everyone can find something they like here. Definitely 10/10.
Chill restaurant and bar with a cute, heat d patio that also blocks out lights from nearby traffic. 80's music played as we enjoyed some bomb cheese fries and mimosas in the evening hours.Great choice if you're looking for a down to Earth eatery with comforting food & stiff drinks.Mac took care of us - great server, always attentive and friendly. We will be back!
Been there twice, the food is good and it's a very reasonable price. Most things are less than $10. Sometimes I order pick up at lunch time because my workplace is 3 minutes walk from the Mont!
The staff is always friendly from mngt down to the host/hostess. Great drinks, smaller menu due to covid but still a good selection of tasty comfort foods. The steak and salad is my favorite entree and potato skins are a must appetizer! Love the fried okra as well. I only ever drink Crown Royal and Coke but it's always good. Their Mexican dishes are awesome as well as are their sandwiches and burgers. plus it's one of the few places you can smoke in the bar area which is sepa
This is always my go-to for a date night and I always recommend it to others. Iconic spot near campus corner. I always order Miguel's Club and a Swirl. Love sitting in the patio area. Heaters at every table when it's cold out, and fans & misters for when it's hot. IG: @ailijay
