Cute place for a date. Ramen noodles were thin and not as good as Tamashii, but there is more selection as to broth type. Employees were polite but disorganized. Received our main meal before the appetizer. They were busy so we sat at the bar. Person making the drinks was not experienced and kept referring to instructions, making it take so long to get drinks that they came just before the meal. 1 better trained employee is worth 3 applicants. Don't worry about getting bodies in there to help. Organize and train the ones you have to be more efficient and the place would have been more enjoyable.
Food was great. A bit costly - only reason not 5 stars. Impressed with the ramen, gyoza, and tempura. The tea kettle spills tea everywhere. You have to ask them to clean I suppose, as I sat there for 30 minutes with spilled tea all over the counter in front of me. I didn't ask them to clean it, and they didn't attempt either. So, take that for a grain of salt. For any restaurant, that's sufficiently unacceptable. The name of the restaurant is aptly appropriate for the geographic location. Tatsumaki means tornado. And we'll, this is tornado capital of the USA.Again, Ramen was tremendously delicious. You can add toppings to it, but will easily push your bill to new heights comparative to a home loan... Kidding, but not.Their menu is online. I will try to attach it here. You will enjoy the food. If you are under 25, it might even be your forte for waitresses and waiter are of that age, and can be fun to communicate with.Enjoy!
Tatsumaki Ramen was better than the Miso Ramen. Miso Ramen was bland, broth and noodle had literally no flavor, so tasteless. Tatsumaki was better. Gyozas were so small, and honestly the ones that Costco sell are much better in taste and size. The Pork buns were dissaponited. The dough was hard. However, prices on their ramen was very decent and affordable.
Love this place! Food is always good and comes out quick, reasonably prices, staff is great, and drinks are good! Usually busy, but they get you in pretty quick. Ramen bowls are good, sushi is awesome. Crispy teriyaki chicken is AMAZING!
You must try this resturant!! I got the tempura shrimp bento box. All of the components were delicious. The shrimp was crispy and paired really well with the dipping sauce. If you like trying a little of everything, I definitely would get a bento box. Only complaint is that the tempura veggies were a little too undercooked for my personal taste, but again, they tasted so good I ate all of them!!
My only disappointment is that it took me so long to eat her. It was all so delicious! My husband and I got the gyoza, spicy California sushi, 2 ramen bowls, mochi, and he got alcohol (I had lemonade) for just $50 before tip. Service was very fast and everything taste fresh. Will definitely be back!
it's amazing. great flavor.
Fun was prepared fresh and quickly. Everything tasted AMAZING! The only down side was our server was slow and not very helpful (always had to call her over to order, pay, or ask something). But all the other servers seemed nice and it was a fun environment. Even had a short conversation with another couple. It was such a fun experience and not bad of price for $50 (before tip) for 2.
Service was great and friendly. The food however was mediocre at very best. Broth for the ramen was bland. It was not a hot (temp) bowl for ramen. It felt like reheated soup.
This place is AMAZING. Arguably one of the best places to order food (or eat) in Norman. However, they're normally pretty busy (and for good reason). Despite being busy this does not impact the food delivery time or the quality of the food.
