Cutest, quaintest breakfast stop in downtown Norman! We try our best to support local and so glad we gave this place a try! It is a small cafe but a many places to sit from a cozy booth to a window seat. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food was DELICIOUS! It tasted home cooked! There is the variety of food on the menu. I recommend trying the honey tea! We will be back :)
Went to syrups today with my family. There was a small wait that was communicated very well. We had a party of 8 and the staff did not miss. They continued to check on us and made us feel welcome. The owner recommend the “Crispy French Tst” …. Very well done… Definitely stop and enjoy. Will go out of my way to return to this restaurant. Thanks for the memories!
Really delicious place! We were lucky enough to be seated without reservations, fair warning. Make reservations!!! When you have a place as amazing as this, it’s always packed. Plenty of options to choose from, we got 2 plates and shared :)Will take some time to come out but that’s understandable with how busy they stay! Our waiter could have been more attentive, I asked for black coffee at the beginning and never got it. By the time he came back to check it wasn’t worth asking. Besides that the service was good and the food was better! Will be back!
Food was ok, except for the pile of raw salmon that I paid $4 extra for. Took 20 mins to get 2 breakfasts, and no one came to ask how the food was...not a single time...if they had, I'd have liked to ask for my salmon to be cooked.
Love this place amazing food and Michelin level service. Tanner is a rock star.
We had a great experience! Eggs Benedict and the scramble were both delicious. But most of all, the staff is exceptional. Mainly younger/college age kids, and all were so friendly, kind, and accommodating. Especially with my two little ones! We were so impressed. Kudos to the management for hiring some really great kids!
I'm not really much of a morning person, but if there is a circumstance that finds me out and about in the early mornings I like to treat myself with a nice breakfast. Syrup is most definitely that spot. The wife likes how "cute" it is inside, however it is my opinion that the food is the far superior experience. Crunchy French toast, biscuits and gravy, hollandaise sauce, and perfectly poached eggs held some fantastic flavors and was worth what was spent!
Table was sticky from not being cleaned. Service was not the best. My food came out 10 minutes before my wife’s food in that time of course it was cold by the time my wife’s food arrived. We had no silverware to eat until we could finally get a staff member to get us some. Not a good experience and will not return.
Service was great. The chicken and waffles were a colossal disappointment. Cool aesthetic, sub-par food.
Breakfast was amazing, staff was doing a excellent job as it was quite busy. Definitely will be going back
