We hosted a larger family function with several different food allergies/requirements and our server was phenomenal. This place is a gem walking distance from the University. So a quick recap- service was excellent, location was excellent, wine selection- excellent and the live music was an added bonus (we sat outside). The only draw back, the actual food (entree) was mediocre- it wasn’t bad, but it lacked spice and was pretty bland. Sadly, it’s what our server recommended as his favorite. All good and I’d go again to try another dish.
Not sure what happens to Othello’s. We have been coming here for 15yrs and was always pleased. The last few times the service was not great but we still enjoyed the food. This last time the food was not good. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and they were smaller than my finger tip is size. The chicken was rubbery and the service was slow and they seemed lost.To the owners, when you read this try and focus on fixing the issue instead of responding to this by saying how it’s not your fault. Make Othello’s great again and stop cutting corners. I will be back to get the coconut pie that is still the best.
Doordash wasn’t any help- so I’ll warn here. This was terrible. We ordered the appetizer combo, first it was missing the fried zucchini & regular ravioli and all the items that were there were burnt. Cheese sticks were completely empty. The jumbo shells pasta came swimming in the worst tasting sauce I’ve ever had, and were unseasoned tasting on there own. I spent $40 for a piece of likely frozen cheesecake. I would not recommend. Olive Garden is honestly better.
Simply put...Norman's finest dining experience ...Lovely atmosphere ....great service and the food is,has always been the best Italian food to be found.Try it today...you will be glad you did. Oh by the way the staff, music and ambiance,all great!
Food was okay. The service was terrible. Sat at the bar and could barely get the bartender to pay attention to us and she had a bad attitude. They were short staffed but we were very friendly and understanding, would have liked the same courtesy back. She had plenty of time to help the customers that she chose to help, probably her regulars.
We had my Aunt's Birthday party here on Saturday, April 23rd, it was my first time there and it was absolutely delicious! I would absolutely go back. The man that was our server was amazingly nice and had a fun personality. Thanks for making my first time at this restaurant a good one.
My student group at OU booked the patio and had ordered some catered food at Othello’s. My friend and I came a bit late, we had been fasting all day and by the time we arrived the food had ran out. Colin was incredibly sweet about the situation and provided us with salads and an appetizer free of charge. He took great care of us and I am so appreciative to the staff at Othello’s for understanding our situation and going above and beyond. Definitely come try this palace out they will take great care of you. Thank you Colin!!!
The food is amazing but the service is awful. We have given them 3 tries and every time the service was horrible. Took the waiter forever to bring our drinks then took forever to get a straw for a kids cup that we were charged the same price as an adult beverage for. We never got our appetizers we ordered and when we finally got our meal they forgot the salads we ordered for them. If you ever finally do get your food the food does taste amazing but it’s not worth the poor service.
The staff is super nice and friendly! They are all very knowledgeable about the menu. And they have live trivia on Wednesday nights! Overall, a great experience!
From the beginning, I was kindly escorted to a private table and surrounded by a beautiful ambience. My waiter Colin was very attentive, understanding, and caring. He also made me and my friend laugh a lot. My friend has certain allergies and they not only made sure her food didn’t have anything compromising her, they also kept checking to make sure she was safe and didn’t need any medical attention. The food was beyond what I ever expected. It melted in my mouth and I actually wanted to savor it instead of stuffing my face. Colin made sure we had the best wine and our glasses never ran dry. The chocolate cake was the perfect cherry on the sundae. 10/10 definitely coming back to this place!
