Friendly waitress but I was disappointed with the food. We order chopped steak with onions and mushrooms. We got our order and it was a fried hamburger patty! They went thru the "how would you like your steak cook?" and we replied with, med rare! Yeah,.I wasn't impressed at all. I could have cooked that at home plus the bread they gave us was really dry and our salad..one had too much salad dressing and mine barely had any! I definitely won't be going back! ?
I love eating steak. And when the steak is perfect and no sauce is needed, well.... that's just perfection at it's finest. Now, what there is too much salt flavoring on everything, let's just say not even the baked potatoe can save you. Now, there was a friend that ordered was well, let's just say he felt the same way. And before waiting this, I had mentioned my experience to another friend and they said they same this as well. TOO MUCH SALT. Please, just tone it down. The steak would've been amazing. Cooked perfectly. But... All 3 of us had the same conclusion that the steaks would be amazing but, the salty flavor was so overwhelming, and at the same time you paid money and it was take out so... Next time I ask for no seasoning... The strawberry and cream cake was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUSLY AMAZEBALLZ!
I read the reviews and was excited to try this place out. Our server was great but the food well it was horrible. Got an 8oz sirloin medium rare with loaded mashed potatoes...well for starters my steak was overcooked and was super chewy and fatty. I only was able to eat half of it before I just gave up. The mashed potatoes I am almost positive they were instant potatoes. They were dry and thick. I will not be returning here. Very disappointing. The manager did discount our ticket get and give us a coupon to come back come back. So the service was wonderful it was the food that was not.
My wife and I came for our second anniversary and loved every minute of it. The service was just as great as the food. Our server A. Mills was very attentive and professional. We strongly recommend this location.
I got the sirloin and shrimp with brussel sprouts and salad. Ordered the steak medium. It came out bloody, sent it back and came out still running blood. I set it aside and the waiter came and took it back again. Finally got it cooked properly after I had eaten the rest of my meal. The rest of my meal was very good.
I'm not gonna be rude because I'm not upset anymore but my experience tonight wasn't as great as I thought it was gonna be. My husband's asparagus was very undercooked so it was super crunchy and my steak was not cooked as I ask - medium rare. This is only seared/very very very rare. Practically raw. Everything else like our firecracker chicken wraps were amazing, salad was fantastic and fresh, the bread was hot and fresh, and the fries were just alright. But not our steak. I felt sick after the second bite, I know I should've spoke with my waitress but I barely saw her or my mouth was full so I had to nod my head as she passed by. Not her fault though. We are not mad at her at all. I'm just really disappointed because I recommend this place on the daily to family, even strangers looking for a great place to dine, because it has been my favorite restaurant, every other time I've had great experiences. Not today though, I'll recommend this place as a good place to eat when they're not in a rush and hope and pray they don't serve that to anyone else or make someone else sick. So now my husband and I are spending our new years day sick. We'll return when we know they're not busy and hope they will take time to cook the food correctly. Also at the end of the night, we didn't even get our final receipt after cashing out. Nothing. Just glad we left before I threw up my food.
All but one appetizer was spicy. The rib eye sandwich was over peppered. The only good thing was the dessert.
The absolute worst curbside service I’ve ever experienced! 20 minutes pass AFTER I arrive at my check in time. I call to check on the status of my order and was put on eternal hold. I hang up and call again only to be told they are working on it. Another another 10 minutes pass, I go in to address the situation. The hostess said the curbside waiter was aware of the delay and was actively working on it. I requested to talk to him and she said she would relay my request. I demanded that I see her relay my request. I could tell she had no intention of doing so. She reluctantly directed someone to lead me to him. He’s holding a curbside sack chatting casually with the bartender about absolutely nothing business related. Trying not to be rude, I gave him a bit to finish his conversation. I finally interrupted and asked if that was my sack. Guess what? It was! I expressed my discontent, grabbed the sack out of his hand and drove 4 minutes home to open my sack of cold steak and lobster. I have NEVER encountered a more incompetent staff than those at Longhorn. I would strongly suggest ordering from any of the other numerous steak houses in Norman.
I love LongHorn Steakhouse! The atmosphere feels a little more upscale, but yet still comfortable enough for jeans & a t-shirt. The bread is good, salads are ice cold, & their filet is for tender! Highly recommended!
Went here with my family today and was incredibly disappointed. Our service was fantastic and the salads & the bread were the only thing that was enjoyable and redeemable. Everyone got different dishes from steak, chicken fried steak and the Parmesean chicken and it was all so overly salty it was difficult or impossible to eat. The only thing we had that wasn't over salty was the sweet potato. The baked potatoes were half cooked and unenjoyable. We wanted to give this steak house a chance but unfortunately won't be back.
