Took me a few visits to Torchys to find a taco that I really love. That’s not to say that a lot of the tacos are bad, they just some flavor combinations that are a bit too odd for my liking. Atmosphere is always great at Torchys. Service is quick enough and servers are polite. Now that they ditched the weird beverages and went with coke products, things are even better. I highly recommend the Hillbilly Queso. Flavorful and downright delicious. Best queso in Oklahoma. As for tacos, I recommend the Brushfire (spicy jerk chicken), Green Chile pork, and the Crossroads (smoky brisket). The trailer park taco is fine for kids as it has a chicken finger in it. Only thing I would recommend avoiding is the Republican taco; the “sausage” in it is basically a salty below average hot bog.
Here I am back again in Norman Oklahoma. I had brunch at Torchy's Tacos. They are still the best tacos i have eaten. I just drove 25 miles to eat here and I was not disappointed. I will be back tomorrow for breakfast.
I really like their breakfast tacos so much i drove 8 miles to have some. This restaurant is as good as the ones in Austin Texas.
Kinda pricey for what you get. Probably won’t be back. It’s just not what we like. Others may feel differently and like it . But we didn’t.
Driving through Oklahoma City at lunchtime and need a good fast lunch. Found a Torchy's Taco location just a block from Interstate 35. Great tacos as usual. We ordered online while on the road -- food was hot and waiting for us. We were back on the road with great food in minutes!
I was visiting my cousin in Oklahoma and we both fell in love with Torchy's in Austin and were sad we could no longer enjoy them unless we were in Texas but when we both discovered they had a locations in Oklahoma, we were elated! First of all, let me briefly explain our previous Torchy's experience. In Austin, the food was delicious, but the service was too cool for school hipster. Is smiling or kindness not part of the hipster vernacular? Meanwhile, the customer service in the Norman location was out of this world, friendly! The tacos were super spicy and I loved how they served Jarritos soda here! The restaurant was clean, had a nice decor and the bathroom was spotless. Unique tacos, fresh ingredients and great customer service. Thank you Norman for making me a Torchy's Taco fan again!
I was attending a conference across the street. Food was so good the first day, we went back for lunch the second day and brought a bigger group! I have had the democrat on 3 different trips. They are wonderful!!
First thing I Gotta say is you have to try the hillbilly queso, it’s so damn good! Had that and two tacos and some refried beans and it was outstanding. You should go check out this fast food find!
The food and service was excellent. THE BEST salad!. Kids had assorted types of unique tacos. Ice cold beer. Great patio seating.
I cannot say enough good things about Torchy’s. I try to eat there as often as possible. My favorite tacos are the Mr. Orange and the Baja Shrimp. I also really like to try the tacos of the month. Some of them have been outstanding and I’ve wished they were on the regular menu. The queso is to die for.
