I've been visiting Gray Owl since college (around a decade) and they've always had great tea, coffee, and snacks. Their hours are more limited now, but the quality of their drinks, snacks, and atmosphere remains as awesome as it has always been. The only other con is the somewhat limited seating if you aren't with a group. Most seats and tables are meant to be shared, so it can feel a little awkward when they're busy.
An employee-owned coffee shop with excellent food/drink options, a strong presence in the local community, and a high degree of social/environmental consciousness.
1st off, love the name. I really like owls & it's on Gray St...so clever!! Lots of seating available when I arrived, but people did trickle in. I enjoyed an iced Caramel Latte, a Blueberry Scone, & a slice of Spinach, Artichoke & Gouda quiche. Scone wasn't as sweet as I would have liked, but I could probably deal with less sugar anyway. I'll be back next time I'm in town.
A very cute coffee shop! I got the jasmine green tea latte and it was heavenly. Loved the atmosphere as well; vintage decor and local art made it feel very welcoming and cozy.
Ordered an iced lavender latte and it was good. My only complaint would be the dirty aspect that the place has, with the piled up dust on the ceiling fans, hanging bicycles, and all. It isn’t the most pleasurable thing to witness while sipping your coffee…
The environment and the coffee is second-to-none! Love the such a quirky space continues to put out such great coffee.
Norman's only worker owned coffee shop! They are the friendliest people and their coffee is great. They also have different homemade baked goods available every morning including scones and muffins.
Stopped in this morning. Hated that I had to get my coffee to go. It’s so cozy and welcoming. Staff was super personable and efficient.The coffee was excellent.10/10 would recommend!
This place was very comfortable to sit and talk with my wife over coffee. The iced vanilla latte I had was one of the best I've ever had.
