Man, so I was craving bbq.... And for lunch we decided on Dickey's... Ehhh first sign should've been that I was going i have up wait an hour for a pick up order... Ok... It's lunch maybe they say an hour and text when it's ready... Nope! I called and asked they said it had been done they just got through bagging it up like 10 minutes ago. I asked so is it still hot... They said yes and ready for you to come pick it up whenever. And this is 40minutes into the hour... And after picking it up and trying it, just literally being 3 minutes away it wasn't hot... The sauce was kinda mehhh.. idk. Maybe just not my flavor
My family ate here a week ago and had a very unsatisfying experience. It took a good 10-15 minutes to even be acknowledged that we were there and when they finally started taking our orders it was a train wreck. The food was too salty and the meat was dry, the quality has really gone down hill. Then what I assume is the owner came over to awkwardly chat with us in the middle of our meal and asked if we knew anyone who wants to buy a BBQ restaurant. Not a good look, we won't be back.
My recent experience at dickeys ,is always the best ribs, the meat falls of the bone it's always tender and very good never have had a bad food from them and I've been going there for 11yrs ,and the employees and the manager r very nice people to ,and thank u dickeys for the best barbecue ribs and everything else u guys sale ,have a blessed day ?
Although with the bad reviews, for my order tonight. I thought it was pretty good with the portion sizes, and sides & drinks. I ordered thru Uber eats. And you guys ran out of the Mac & Cheese which I was a tad bit disappointed in. But also I didn’t realize you close at 9 so you could of just ran out of inventory. But you guys sub the side for the chili brisket & that sh** was fire ?. Long & behold I was please with the 2 for $24. The food was seasoned well, sides was good. I just really wanted to try the Mac & Cheese but next time I will.
I got the two meat plater, with brisket and burnt brisket ends. I definitely suggest the burnt ends over the brisket slices. The fries were fresh and great. The potato salad I wasn't a fan of. They provide complimentary soft serve ice cream which was awesome.
The on line ordering app refused to accept an unexpired coupon and would not allow me to log in, repeatedly asking me to reset my password and refusing to acknowledge it. In spite of being frustrated, I went ahead and ordered. The meals were fine and delivered timely; however, my $8 gallon of tea was not included. he food was good, but the frustration of the ordering experience, combined with the loss of the coupon, possible point accumulation, and $8 I could used for toilet paper convinces me repeated ordering from this restaurant is not in my future.
The burnt ends weren’t at all burnt, they were dry and gross though. I requested utensils and they didn’t include them and I’m at a hotel so I couldn’t eat the macaroni or beans. The rib was the size of a pickle but at least the flavor was good. Barbecue was spilled all over the bag too. I think I will be sticking with Swadleys.
Their meat is as dry as sawdust
This place has gone way down hill. 90% of the time, the food is horrible. Not to mention the prices have gone up 40% in the past year and half. I used to love grabbing me some Dickies 3-4 times a week and I miss it. Now, the overpriced sausage is usually old, the fries are never cooked all the way, and everything lacks any type of flavor. I don't recommend dining here or ordering delivery from this location.
I used to love eating here but the prices have gotten so high that I can't justify it anymore. The food is decent but not the best bbq in town. A kids meal is over $9 now a days and a 2 meat plate with a drink is over $20. It's disappointing it's so expensive now.
