The crew that was working tonight went above and beyond and gave exemplary service, even as potentially fatal storms brewed over Norman. They even welcomed us to the back of house for safety, offering beverages and seeing to our every need. They truly made us feel like family and I just can't recommend this place enough after tonight. They showed their true colors in the best way in the face of a crisis. If I could give 20 or 100 stars, I certainly would. Also, I have to commend them for their impeccable kitchen; I'm honestly impressed at how clean and kept it is.
Mackenzie was our waiter. She is awesome. As for the quality of the food, it did not match up to our previous experiences. The fried catfish was soft and poorly seasoned. Eggs overeasy was medium. Bacon was nearly burnt. Biscuits tasted like sourdough. Carrots were over cooked. If The kitchen was as good as Mackenzie, it would have been a great evening.
I went in and put in an order to go. The staff was super friendly and efficient. They got our order out quickly and paid attention to all of the details. The food was hot, fresh, and super tasty. We have been to Cracker Barrels and the service and food are always good, but this one was one of the best.
They are fine as long as you DO NOT go at noon...My husband and I come here rather regularly though normally at 11, have never had a problem.Went today at noon and had a 32min wait after being told it would be 15 min. Waiter took forever to bring water. Ordered grilled tenders with baked potatoes, dumplings, and hashbrown casserole. Chicken was black in a badly burnt way, baked potato was under cooked and really hard, dumplings were really doughy. Thankfully the hashbrown casserole was good.Definitely never going back at noon again
We've used their curbside service the past couple of times we've been. The food has come out on time. When we take it home, the food is delicious! And their prices are still very reasonable! When we want good home cooking, this is our go-to spot!
I Ordered to go chicken and dumplings definitely didn't taste like it nor was it salted or peppered enough. Sides of mashed potatoes, loaded baked potato and fries. Mashed potatoes weren't so mashed potatoes. Loaded baked potato wasn't a loaded baked potato and fries were cold and unsalted. Presentation was not good. I would definitely not recommend ordering to go at all. I don't know what it's like to done in. Have never been. But I sure am not pleased with this.
On 1/18/22 I ordered online for curbside because my dad was sick. Not even 5 minutes after placing the order I had to take him to the hospital for an infusion. I called Cracker Barrel to cancel the order and get a refund. The manager was unavailable so they took my name and phone number and told me I would receive a call. The call never came, so I called back and asked to speak with the manager. They were once again not available so I was told that they would refund it and it would take 5 days. Now it is 2/19/22 and I have still not received my refund. I called two days ago and spoke with someone who attempted to get the manager for me but yet again, unavailable. They took my order number, name, and phone number and I was told that I would receive a call from the manager once the refund was completed. I never got a call back. Safe to say, I don’t see myself ordering at this particular Cracker Barrel until things are made right.
We got there at 12:30 so we knew it would be busy. I went in and put our names on the list; the guy took our number and said 20 minutes. All good, no biggie. We go to sit in the car because it's cold, we sit there for 30 minutes. I sent my husband in to make sure they got our number correct, and apparently, they removed us from the list! Didn't try to call or text; just removed us while we're sitting in the car waiting. ? They weren't apologetic about it and said they would put as back on the list, but it'll be another 30-minute wait! The incompetence of the staff is ridiculous. Go somewhere else if they're busy, or you'll just be sitting there waiting for nothing.
