Our waiter was the most awesome and professional waiter I've ever had!! For the life of me I can't remember his name. We went on a Saturday after a funeral and there must've been between 24-30 of us. The food was over the top fabulous. We live in Guthrie and I can promise you I'd drive to Moore just for more HIDALGO'S any day of the week !!!
Went here because of the ranking on Trip Advisor. Wow was it wrong. Not at all Mexican food to me. Overpriced and mediocre. The queso dip tastes like melted Velveeta. $14 for a small burrito?? No no no. Never again.
I love this place! Every time I go there the manager is friendly he always recognizes me and my family. Let me say one thing, the flour tortillas are BOSS! I could live on the tortillas! There made fresh in front of you. When i eat there tortillas the taste like the ones my great great grandma use to make when i was kid. Keep up the great work!! You guys are awesome, keep up the great work.
Excellent food! Great service and super fast. Sure it needs some up grades in the facilities and menus and such- but never the less, delicious food!
Absolutely not authentic Mexican food! not even Tex-Mex. I would say Tex-Mex like. Tables were sticky ALL over. All 5 of our orders were "meh" at best. Food all had a strange grainy texture. Rice was dry and bland, beans taste better in generic brand from the grocery store than here, pepper was flavorless and deep fried in wheat but was not listed that way on the menu and I don't eat wheat so that wasn't cool. Plates were very hot but food was not overly warm. Service was mediocre. $80+ wasted! We would have enjoyed Taco Bell more! On the bight side. Chips were good. Guacamole was good.
Hidalgo was a nice little surprise. The setting was nice and welcoming. It gave off an authentic Mexican diner feel. The murals on the wall and the sombrero hat ceiling lamp was a wonderful addition to the decor. The hosts were nice and the waitress we had was very accomodating and understanding of all our orders. I went with a group of 10 and were sitted with no issues. They also brought chips with salsa and queso and tortillas as soon as we were sitted. I loved the tortillas and would go back for them. I had the beef tamales for the first time and I really enjoyed it. The Tres leches was great. The chocolate over it add a lot of pizazz and it was delicious. I enjoyed the food so much, I forgot to take a pictures of the food. I'm giving 4 stars because they could do a little extra cleaning. The area we sat was a bit dirty. Not a nice setting while trying to eat. Overall, my family and I enjoyed this restaurant and we would go back again.
Really good Mexican restaurant. The service was very friendly and surprisingly fast. Don't think I've seen a Mexican restaurant that offers complimentary flour tortillas and queso before, which was really cool. We were seated right away on a Saturday afternoon, but it looked like it was getting busy after we left, so get there early. The pricing was reasonable, although the margaritas were a bit pricey. Portion sizes were just right too.
I was disappointed with restaurant. We arrived about 5:15 last night to beat the rush. However, they were already fairly busy. We were seated right away and received our drinks, chips, salsa, and queso promptly. Our server (Fernanda) was very friendly and attentive. Our food arrived quickly (10-15 min.) and was very hot. The food was very disappointing except for the chips and salsa.I had steak fajitas with beans and rice. The steak was cut much thicker than I expected and was very chewy, not tender at all. It had a very odd flavor that was not tasty in my opinion. The onions were cut in large round pieces and there were hardly any peppers. They also put red potatoes on their fajitas. I had one big piece. My wife had a chicken chimichanga which was hot, but the cheese inside was all clumped into one part of the chimichanga. We ordered a soft taco with ground beef for my grandson and it was just meat on a very dried out tortilla shell. They are also very skimpy with the refried beans and rice. We had water to drink and we paid $42.00 for 2 entrees a soft taco, and a side of lettuce and tomatoes which cost us $3.50. Despite the great service, I will not be going back to this restaurant. It is way too costly for the poor quality of their food.
Delicious and fun atmosphere! Our server was super attentive and the food and margs were DELICIOUS!! Our Tex-Mex expectations were surpassed!!
Lunch was a great experience with Mondo our waiter...he had us laughing and having a great time! The food is great especially the white queso! I had a Mexican Hidalgo burger and it was very tasty!
