This is a great little diner! All of the staff was super nice and friendly and the food was great! This is the type of place that you leave a larger tip than usual. No disappointments here!
This diner is an unpretentious, old school ( still serves salad crackers and rolls), and informal. My servers have been as nice as could be: attentive and accommodating. The first time I visited, I ordered a BLT. My advice to you is this: DON’T do that. —big bread, 2 itty bitty pieces of bacon. If it was not for me looking at others’ plates and my server being a teenager who was super sweet, I might have complained or never returned. However, I did go back and was overwhelmed by a huge, perfectly prepared, gravy covered chicken fried steak. The meal, the service, and the people working at Wright’s are all first class. This is my go-to diner for a relaxed, satisfying, and come-as-you-are dinner. As an update from most recent experience, the chicken livers are fabulous!
I absolutely love this place. By far, the kitty chicken is my favorite, but when passing through around breakfast you can't go wrong with the egg sandwich! The staff is always so welcoming, attentive and just all around friendly and they have truck parking!
Great Service! Amazingly nice staff! Family owned but you feel like family as well, best spot NO wait both times I visited.
The last few times eating here have been disappointing. But my most recent trip was the last draw. We waited over 30 minutes for our food only for the waitress to come and let us know that she stuck the ticket in her pocket and never put it in the kitchen. She also admitted that this was not the first time she had done this.She apologized but no owner or manager came to apologize. They did not discount our food in any way. Before she came to tell us this had happened, no one came by to even check on us. We couldn't even ask about our food.
Despite it being extremely busy. We had a wonderful experience. We was sat at the only seats available. The bar stools. There was 4 of us. As soon as a table was open our waitress moved us. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. When we visit Lawton again we will be back!!
Great service, great atmosphere, great food. Very clean and comfy. New remodeled but still retains the feel of old school Family dinner. Zero complaints from me, you will not be disappointed.
Had the Indian Taco it was great. All food is home made even the Mashed Potatoes it did not disappoint
I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Lawton. We went in pretty late in the evening and they were still busy. We sat down, they explained that they were short staffed, but would get to us as soon as they could. Yes, we did wait awhile, but the food was excellent! And such great service. The poor troup had been working all day, but they had such great attitudes! This was on March 26th, 2022.
I’ve visited this nostalgic hole in the wall, but their food and staff are Phenomenal, let me start by that Ashley was very attentive, I ate the previous evening and had the chicken fried steak with a salad and fried okra, oh my goodness and for dessert chocolate pie. Aaron the evening waitress was also great, the whole staff was friendly. I’ve enjoyed both visits and I will be returning, I might mention I’m an over the Driver and not all places I’ve ate at have been as good as Wrights, this definitely The “Wright”Place to eat at.
