Coming back from a fire that took it out of commission in 2021, The Silver Spoon is a unique quaint restaurant fit snug on the corner of C and 6th, right across from the Comanche Court House. Within that red brick exterior hides what feels like Old Lawton. The interior brick walls, wood furnishings, and smiling faces really feel like you stepped back a couple of years and sat down in a restaurant that you wouldn’t mind just relaxing in for a bit. The staff were all smiles, very cordial, and Ms. Susan checked on me twice to make sure things were well. But the BIG questions... what about the food? I had the Chipotle Chicken Club Panini at 11 bucks. You can see the photos… the quality and portions definitely met and exceed the price in my opinion. That Chipotle kick with some succulent chicken AND bacon on that toasted bread… was amazing. It was an amazing lunch and I can’t wait to try some other items on the menu or see what their dinner menu looks like. The environment is clean and rustic. The tables and seating are basic, but I think that adds to the feel. I think some fancy seating would detract from that Old Lawton feel. Now, even though they do have a kid menu, and I am sure the staff are family friendly… I would say the Silver Spoon gives off more of a small group vibe. I think this is suited to the small business group grabbing a nice lunch, or a couple who wants to just relax and enjoy some quality food. Either way, if you are coming on your own to try a taste of old town small business Lawton, or bringing the family out for an awesome Friday lunch, the Silver Spoon definitely has you covered. My recommendation is definitely the Chipotle Panini, you wont regret it. Definitely don’t miss out. 5 out of 5 old school goodness.

Always fresh, great taste. Comfortable/Clean atmosphere. Worth stopping in or picking up to carryout.

I ordered 3 hours early before I needed food. I was ignored by several people before I could place order. When I went to pick up the person waiting on on me complained on the length of time it took to prepare my order . Never thanked me for the order or thanked me when I left

Very nice restaurant. A little pricey but worth it if you want a delicious made from scratch meal. Service was exccellent.

It was not as bad as we expected due to friends warning us about a bad experience. Ours was pretty pleasant. Nothing amazing but we don't regret giving it a shot. It's Lawton, so really, what do you expect?

In 2019, (I could not select this year below) my wife, a fellow Vietnam Veteran, and I ate at The Silver Spoon. We were blown away with the food, the service, and the total place. I was a in a small group (208) of men that were overrun by 600-800 NVA and Chinese soldiers. We had 25 killed, 93 wounded and totally out of action, and another 50 that had never been in a battle and therefore had no idea what to do. In 2020, we were scheduled to have our dinner at The Silver Spoon. Everything got canceled because of Covid-19. What a shame because I know that all of our guys would have enjoyed the restaurant. This will be 52 years since that dreadful battle. In fact it is recorded as one of the most brutal battles of the Vietnam War. Unfortunely, April 1 falls on Friday this year. After 3 phone calls, I was informed that the owner would not reverse his policy for a group of old veterans. So we are still looking for a venue where we can have a dinner and say a few words in honor of our fallen brothers. I might note that this is the same treatment we received when we returned to this nation. We were spit on, rocks were thrown at us, and we were called baby killers. I might note that many more have died over the years from wounds they encountered at Fire Support Base Illingworth. The fact remains that The Silver Spoon is probably the very best restaurant in Lawton, OK. And we understand that our business will not make or break the restaurant. We are just a small group of old soldiers looking for a place to hold a simple little meeting and honor our fallen soldiers. Enjoy The Silver Spoon, it is awesome.

Enjoyed a great dinner. Especially good salads. We had filet, tuna steak and fried chicken. All yummy with excellent sides. The lemon bar and sugar cookie desserts were large enough to share and delicious. Wonderful service and live music made for a lovely evening.

We had lunch there twice in a week and service and quality were top notch. I had the reuben sandwich with chips and salsa (both times because its so good). Main dinning room and upstairs are the preferred places to sit. The backroom gets to noisy to talk to your table mate.

The trio it was good with the soup. Awesome place

The service, the food, the atmosphere... This place is amazing.
