McKenzie’s Burger GarageNostalgia! If you’re a car buff, racing daydreamer, or just a fan of good burgers, McKenzie’s Garage needs to be on your to-do list. I heard it was built in the remains of a very heavily renovated tune-up garage, and it definitely has the feel that it could have been. What you have currently, is neon and 90’s… and that’s not a bad thing. You feel like you’re stepping back into another time, with juke boxes and phone booths, and it is a lot of fun. This restaurant is great for families, casual work lunches, and burger aficionados. This may not be your place if you’re looking for a quiet seductive place to take your special someone for their 10th anniversary. The staff is pleasant, cordial, and have smiles on their faces. A friendly waitress came up twice to make sure everything was going well and tasting excellent, and it was. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and well lit. If there were any complaints to be had, it would be that my burger took a minute to make. But what may seem to be a small complaint, in reality, is because the burgers and fries (from what I could tell) are all made to order… and that’s definitely NOT a complaint. My desire to try something different had me ordering the Pizza Burger. Lite on the sauce but heavy on the mozzarella and pepperoni, this thing was anything but ‘standard burger’… and it was great. Take the time to look at a menu, immerse yourself in the cleaver menu titles, and try a burger out of your comfort zone. The Pizza Burger, Green Chili Burger, and Afterburner Burger are all good bets for those who want something different or something with a little heat. Either way, a burger fan can’t go wrong making a pit stop at McKenzie’s Burger Garage.
We went this place because the high rating review and it's an excellent choice. Ordered mushroom burger n Mckenzie burger. The hamburger buns have some sweetness like hawaiian buns but the bread is more solid than the Hawaiian bread. You can smell mushroom in mushroom burger. No salt in French fries, I love it! All sauce/seasons are available on the side table. Friendly services. Tasty fried cheese curds and funnel cake. Interesting decorations around the restaurant. Definitely recommended to all.
Seriously the best burger and fries in town. Super friendly, helpful, kind service too. Cool environment. Cannot recommend enough. If there's only one restaurant you visit during your time in Lawton, then McKenzie's is THE one to try. You won't regret it.02/11/2022: Moving at the end of the month so HAD to have McKenzie's one last time. Still the best burgers in town.
As car fans, we absolutely loved this place! Perfect set up, my 12 year old about lost his eyeballs when he walked in and a dragster was sitting before him!!! Perfect! We will be back, no doubt about that! Food was great, hot and fresh! Good job McKenzie's!!
Decided to try McKenzie’s and was not disappointed. The owner is SO friendly and always checking on his customers. It’s nice to have such wonderful customer service. Burgers could be a little more seasoned but that is the only “complaint”. Everything else was outstanding! Highly recommend at the least is trying it.
Hands down the best burger place in town. A variety of food items for the whole family if you’re not in the mood for a burger they have amazing steak fingers, and the funnel cakes are a 10. Affordable prices, and the staff is super friendly. Love the environment.
McKenzie's isn't bad, but it's definitely not a spot I'd go out of my way to eat at.Burger was a bit dry and the bun was just ridiculously large for the size of the patty. My bottom bun was toasted but felt a bit hard and was tough to swallow.Service was good and the food came out quickly.
Our group of 34 really enjoyed getting together at McKenzies. The food is always good, but the service is great!! Thank you Les and your amazing staff!!
As always, it is great! My wife and I, while out Christmas shopping, stopped in for lunch. Food was awesome as usual. I get the McKenzie burger everytime and never disappoints. If you are in Lawton and want the best burger in town, this is the place.
Chilli tasted burnt and the burger was waaaay over cooked... not good
