Well there's no way to sugarcoat this review, I have never had to throw good food away especially seafood or Cajun. I was in town in Enid Oklahoma for business. Some of y'all know I am the Hotshot Trucking extraordinaire and I travel all across the region, several States and Texas. I like to reward myself what a hotel and a nice meal, sample the local fare, doordash or Uber Eats. On this particular day there was a lot of selection here in Enid Oklahoma, just your Nationals franchises. I saw they had a Sam's Southern Eatery and gumbo new fried oysters said it's really good. Wrong. I wanted a good selection it was very pleased when I first opened the tray, I was so excited and hungry. I grabbed one of the fried Oysters and had to spit it out. Mushy, so I tried another, it was dried up inside and black splotches. Really gross, and has me worried that I am going to get food poisoning, yikes. So I thought, at least I have the Gumbo, wrong, it was not hot, gritty and slimy. I love Gumbo and this was the first time I ever threw the whole $8.99 + tax and delivery charges, tips. This is a real shame and waste of money. The fried fish was good, red beans and rice decent. Needed some hit sauce. I keep thinking to myself, dude, you should have known better than to order seafood and oysters in Enid Oklahoma of all places. I'm not slamming the Enid, my wife was born here. I'm just saying there's no oceans or Seas, only eat fresh seafood. I will post the pictures so you can see what I'm talking about and see I am not hating oh, I just tell it like it is. Peace out
Every time we go to the Sam's in Enid, Nas was working. He is very polite and helpful. A kind young Man he is. The food is always fresh and delicious. Thank you for such great service. Thank you.
This may seem a little unfair. The food isn't bad, but compared to the Sam's Southern Eateries in the Tulsa and Sapulpa areas (which I am highly accustomed to), this food isn't even close. I was expecting the Enid location to taste the same, but it's no where near the quality. If you like the food at this location, stay away from Tulsa and Sapulpa.
Delicious food in large portions at a reasonable price. We have been to both the Enid and Tulsa locations. We recommend to all our friends.
This was a fantastic experience! We ordered the #2 burger ? basket. These burgers were made with fresh hand packed meat! They were absolutely huge! We will definitely go there again! Sorry the pictures are sideways. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food given.
Definitely the best place I've been to in Enid with great seafood. Tried the shrimp, catfish, gumbo and my favorite, fried green tomatoes. My 6 year old loved everything and says he wants to go there every day.
I’ve eaten at Sam’s in okc, but I am so impressed with the Enid location. I just had their gumbo for the first time and it’s sooo good! The jalapeño hush puppies that came on the side were amazing! I highly recommend this place. Really good service, too! The tea was fresh!
My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. The food was fresh, hot, and tasted great! The service was also great, and the staff was quite cordial. We will be back to eat here.
Really like the fish. It's fresh with a corn meal breading. The shrimp is tempura fried. Not a fan of some of the other things they offer.
Great restaurant I love the gumbo here and the environment along with the people are absolutely wonderful. I will definitely be a repeat customer here in the future I do have one suggestion though and that is I would love to see jambalaya added to your menu it’s a southern classic and there are not a lot of places to get any around here.
