These guys are great. The staff are good people and very accommodating. The place is decked out with plenty of seating and study space, perfect for the late night study sessions. My two favourite things about The Brew is their atmosphere and their trading hours. I don't know of any other place which stays open till 11 p.m.. Life saver. Coffee is good too (wouldn't knock you over, but it is far better than starbucks). This place is definitely not as popular as it should be.
Fun place good place to study, often do promotions and new drinks, Staff was cool with helping me find something to order. It also has a nice view of campus.
The freshmen here are treated like kids and isolated from the rest of the school. They also have a curfew, and the RAs walk in on you in your dorm room every night to do curfew check, which to me feels creepy and a little invasive. I’ve been woken up by an RA who was shining a flashlight at my face in the middle of the night before. It’s hard to make friends here if you didn’t go to any of the summer camps at OC. Most people meet their friends during those camps, form groups with them, and are already exclusive with their friend groups by orientation week. There aren’t very many activities going on- this is a very small campus, after all. The one great thing about OC is that the academics are good and the professors are very caring. However, my experience at OC has disappointed me and I plan on transferring to a public college next year.
