Get a star because my crew had fun (I'm not a big fan of having food tossed at me like a seal at a zoo, but that's just me). Restaurant is very dated and dirty, everything,... is dirty. From the restrooms, menus, seats, tables, floors to the incredibly dirty cook stations and vent hoods. Like I stated earlier, the 8 or so people I was with had a great time. I ordered the spicy combo and it was not good, slathered in mayonnaise. Time for a makeover for the Restaurant and the food.
Outstanding service and food. The staff are always friendly and our food is always cooked the way we like it. If you need to entertain a large group they are the place to go! My husband had 20 business colleagues come in town, he calledseveral places no accommodations. I suggested to call Sumo, I think they have the perfect atmosphere, sure enough they made accommodations for them. They had a wonderful meal, as always the service was outstanding, they all had a wonderful experience. Thank you Sumo!
Ordered 2 hibachi chicken meals. Both meals were supposed to come with soup, salad, and steamed rice. Only got one salad, which was basically 5 little pieces of iceberg lettuce, and one soup. The rice was sub-par. The chicken.. was NOT hibachi chicken. It was bland and very very dry even though it was drenched in sauce. The veggies were crunchy and not cooked really? Overall it was worse than even a frozen dish.
If I could give them lower I would. The cook was great, food was good. Then waitress came up before we were done and gave us the bill, stood there waiting, stated "could I have the card or payment, we are very busy and need the table".She proceeded to tell us that the manager told her to say this. I called today to talk with a manager to let them know, all he had to say is I would never say that. He never apologized for the rude treatment. Needless to say we will not be returning. What happened to customer service?
This place was disgusting! The fried rice was like eating crunchy crickets. The steak tasted like stew meat with brown gravy. We saw the waitress 3 times, to take our order, to bring our food, then to bring us our check. I definitely do not suggest wasting your money here.
Enjoyed the experience with my family, but our waitress wasn’t wanting to be there and it showed. Absolutely terrible. Had reservations at 8, ordered 45 minutes later, appetizers came while our chef was preparing our entrees. Drinks almost as slow . Probably will return but will definitely request a different waiter/waitress.
Three stars literally for the waitress. Older lady and she was awesome and attentive. However the younger staff we had an issue with. Kind of disgusted by two of them who chose to walk up to tables when people left only to discuss the tip left by them. I was so appalled by this behavior. We also were the only ones left in the dining room when this occurred and another two staff were standing directly behind us having personal conversation that was loud enough that we could not hear each other across the table.As far as the food, we have never had tempura that came dripping of oil (more than normal, was sitting in a puddle), nothing underneath to soak it up and seemed to have been fried multiple times as some were even burnt but dead. The California rolls were sloppy and the white rice crunchy and dry too.We may try again and I will update if anything changes when we do but it will definitely be a long time.
Went here with 10 family members for daughter’s birthday. We had steak, filet Mignon, chicken, shrimp, and scallops. I highly recommend for family occasions. Did not look like much from outside. Went here because Shogun was booked. Made reservation four days ahead. Inside was beautiful. Staff wore masks. Everything was great!!!
The 31st was my first time ever going and I loved it. The food was great. Our waitress was amazing the The guy behind the grill was fantastic. Their hibachi shrimp is so good! One of the best experiences I've had dining in edmond!
Love the food here. Feel like it's not as good as it was back in the day but still good enough.
