Tried this restaurant after seeing great reviews. Love the menu and the food is excellent. Have been here twice now. Highly recommend it.
That's a spicy meatball! I stopped by for lunch after spotting the place while driving by last week. I'm glad I had the chance to stop by because this place is great! I kept it simple with a house salad and a classic spaghetti and meatballs, but I substituted for spicy marinara. I loved it!!! Take caution though - when they say it's spicy, they mean it! It's much better than just sprinkling some red pepper flakes on the pasta. I also particularly enjoyed the house vinaigrette - it's a bit different than typical house dressings and I thought it tasted very fresh. I definitely recommend a visit.
Atmosphere, staff, and drinks were good. Food was horrible. I got Chicken Parmigiano. The marinara sauce was like tomato juice with chopped up tomatoes in it. The chicken was a little tough on one side. My husband got Chicken Marsala. He was just not a fan. Both dishes needed salt and pepper. Everyone knows that pasta should be cooked with salted water. Then the salad gave me heartburn in the night. I usually don't have a problem with that. I suggest you should try a different Italian restaurant.
Update: The owner contacted me by phone to discuss my visit/experience. He offered a refund or another visit on the house. We discussed my complaint and I believe that helped him identify the issue. Clearly there is a love and care for the business (as evidenced by so many great reviews). As a small business owner myself, I understand the care and wanting to make it right. I'm glad they care so much.I've updated my review ranking. Integrity must be honored. Everyone has an off day.... everyone.Thank you John. The rolls were good.... It went downhill from there. The food simply was bad. It was hot. It simply tasted amateurish. I am a simple person when it comes to food, so I'm not judging against some sophisticated pallette here.
Absolutely love Moni's Pasta and Pizza! The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious! This is a great small business to support in the OKC/Edmond area, and it's always a treat to come dine here.
I can’t express how impressed we were with our choices this evening. From the phone call in, a nice gentleman named John answered. He answered all of my questions, assisted with all of my families changes and letting me know what the up chargers were so there were zero surprises. My husband brought the food home and we live around 20 minutes from the location and the food was still pipping hot!! It was so fresh and tasty. It’s so nice that we have finally found a great Italian place here in Oklahoma. My husband also said the ambience inside the location was super nice as well. Next time we will dine in!Thank you Moni’s for knocking it out of the park from service to tasty food! We will be returning!
The food was great. Had an amazing meal. Must have drink if you enjoy whiskey is the Godfather
Food was awesome! I hadn't been there since they expanded. Great atmosphere! Loved the music playing in the background. One of my guests complained the ceiling fan blade blocked the TV screen so he couldn't see the entire screen to watch the basketball game...??...not really a huge concern of mine.
Wow! Super warm and intimate interior which felt so cozy. I was greeted by a fabulous music mix which included (gasp) Vic Damone and Frank Sinatra. Big, mouth watering homemade rolls served with delicious olive oil herb blend for dipping. My ravioli dinner tasted home made and was generous. Could not have been better.
To the chef that cooked my salmon for lunch today; when little pockets of white substance (albumin) starts to release from a fish when you are cooking it that is a sign you have overcooked it. I've included a picture of the salmon you cooked to death for my lunch, so you can see what I'm talking about.
