I highly recommend Hildago’s. My husband & I were passing through Edmond & decided great Mexican food was in order before proceeding onto the next portion of our road trip. A quick Google search later & we were on our way based upon their great online reviews. The experience was spot on. Super clean & inviting facility, Very friendly & professional employees… & the food was absolutely delicious! This will be a regular stop whenever future road trips bring us to the area. Loved the thin chips, tortillas and cheese sauce as a starter. My husband and I ordered the ground beef enchiladas. The meat was a little spicy for me, but I'm very sensitive to spices than most people. Excellent rice and beans. We also ordered the guacamole appetizer. The guacamole did not have very much flavor and was served with tons of chopped tomatoes and shredded cheese. Honestly, I was disappointed. Prompt and courteous service.
Hidalgo’s have a great selection of Mexican food! I think they make their tortillas and their tortillas are AMAZING. It’s soft and chewy at the same time. The set up that you get when you order entrees includes two salsas, one white queso. Everything was good but their white queso is really creamy and has corn flavor that I love.My husband got shrimp and steak combo fajita, and I got the Hidalgo’s parrilla. They both came out fresh and hot, and they were delicious.You should expect a wait if you visit for Friday or Saturday dinner.
We had the best experience at Hidalgo's on Mother's Day! Being it was the holiday, it was crazy busy. David, our server was sat with at least two large tables (one with at least 7 people) at the same time. I watched him handle all the tables including busing them and he was always watching our table without missing a beat - super impressive. We spoke to the manager, Sam to share this positive experience and he was very friendly and helpful also. David, in spite of being so busy, took the time to answer our questions and made menu recommendations that were so helpful. The food arrived promptly and was very delicious. Can't do better than GREAT FOOD and GREAT SERVICE! We recommend and will definitely be back!
I went here for lunch and had a great experience. This is the only Mexican restaurant I've been to that served a queso with their chips and salsa from sitdown. I ordered the steak fajitas, Mexican mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Everything was very fresh and absolutely delicious. The house salsa was a nice addition to our food, had just the right kick to it. I tried the Tecate with lime I have never had it served the way they do but it was the best Tecate I've ever had. The complimentary dessert was airy and soft, not crunchy, I added the included honey, it was a perfect dessert. This was my first visit here and can honestly say I would come back everytime I visit Edmond, the food and dining experience are that good. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful thank you so much for everything. I cannot say enough good things about this place, try it for yourself.
The manager was extremely pleasurable, our waitress was nice as well, food was good, service was fast and we were 100% satisfied
First timer.....great experience Mila was a fantastic host, Mary did a fantastic job with our service. Excellent food quality prepared with care. I had the perfect M, and steak fajitas. My friend had a chicken chimi! Definitely going back.
Hidalgo's in Edmond is our No. 1 choice for dining! The service is super-prompt, the servers are very attentive and polite. The owners themselves stop by our table each visit to ask if the food and service are to our liking. On our last visit, I had a lovely chat with an owner and asked if a certain food item could be brought back (the hot strawberry jam on the sopapillas). The owner took the time to listen to my request and to tell me she would do her best. And the food! We've never had a bad (or even mediocre) meal at Hidalgo's. The menu choices are extensive, and the dishes are always cooked to perfection. I also appreciate how accommodating the servers are when it comes to special requests on our orders. I would give Hidalgo's ten stars if I could.
