Bring back the corn fritters and I'll give it a 5 star! The chicken is mouth watering and fresh. The sides are usually very good, but without the corn fritters it's not as wonderful as it used to be. My family of 8 always loved going and especially to get the corn fritters. Every since they've been removed from the menu we haven't went like we used too. It's the only place you can get those, it was a stand apart item.
Ordered 3 piece chicken with Mac and cheese and potatoes. Ordered the salad with avocado. Salad was good, the Mac and cheese was different and the potato were different not at all like anything I have had before. Friendly fast service. Not the best chicken but not the worst. Don't know if I would go back just not my typ of food. Great clean friendly place.
Chicken was good. Roll was dry. Ordered the salad as a side and what I thought was cut up cucumber must have been something else as it was bitter.
I got a large pre-arranged order which was ready and waiting for pickup. All of it tasted great and was accurate as well with nothing missing. Their chicken is moist and quite tasty. We got a variety of sides. I have to say some are better than others. If you ever have a large order like we did, get the mac & cheese as one of the sides. The broccoli with parmesan cheese wasn't as cheesy as we thought it would be. I was told their cowboy beans are spicy, but we didn't try them, since I don't like spicy. I also tried their brisket one time. We were all pleased by their care in preparing our order.
My family of nine ate here last Sunday. The good points were the staff was friendly and the chicken and brisket were good. On the down side the green beans had no flavor or seasoning and were cold, they served the family meals on trays with no plates or bowls and arguably one of the main reasons I have gone to Cowboy Chicken was for the corn fritters which they no longer serve! Also, the sweet tea container was empty and it stayed that way the entire time we were there even though I mentioned it to the cashier and she advised me someone would be out. We probably won’t eat at a Cowboy Chicken again.
First time here, immediately was greeted by a clean sleek interior and friendly staff. Menu was easy to navigate and read. Told Karla, the manager, that it was my first time and she walked me through the specialties. Very good job! She gave me excellent recommendations and I enjoyed my meal. Meal price seems to average $13-16.
Have been twice, the food was great the first time, although was put off by watching the creamed spinach be microwaved and served fried to the sides of the same container. No brisket that day but it was later on Mother’s Day so they get a pass for that. However today the chicken legs were some of the driest I have ever had like they’d been left in the desert sun to die in the middle of an Arizona heat wave. The price you pay for brisket (also not very good) is not worth it. The spinach, same thing reheated in the microwave. Had we dined in I would have returned the meals, very disappointed. To be honest I think everything was microwaved, chicken, spinach, even the twice baked potatoes were a weird consistency. This was midday, not even near open/close. The front staff was good both times and I love diversity.
This restaurant was excellent! The chicken was so moist and wonderful flavor and the sides were fantastic! Carla the Mgr was so friendly and helpful. Please come to Wichita!
Great food, great service and nice, clean tables. The half Chicken was crazy tender and the Mac and cheese was possibly the best I've ever had.
BBQ sandwich was really good, however paying over $11 for just a sandwich and a jalapeño is a rip off. I ordered takeout and they forgot my sweet potato with my order review would be higher but felt like I barely got anything for what I payed for.
