If you're after high quality tuna, this is the place. It won't replace Yuzo as our go to for sushi since Cafe Icon is specialized toward high quality raw and I'm the only one who likes that in my group. The two rolls I got were over $20 each but were also worth it. The one pictured is one my gf picked. It was called the dragon but she kept calling it the hungry caterpillar roll. It was a great evening.
Let me start this review with great atmosphere and thank heavens for Colby. (I didn’t know it then but this pleasant young man would save our evening.)My husband loves sushi and I don’t lol. I’ve been wanting to branch out and hated my decision after already being seated- funny huh ?… now my energy must have just been loud as I sat there silently grumbling at the choices on the menu. We were guided to also look at their QR code menu for even more options which do include non fish items. Colby took his time to genuinely listen to my concerns about eating raw fish. I took a huge leap of faith last night and went with his professional suggestion.(He’s been working there for two years) I LOVED the Steak Roll and couldn’t believe it. My husband was happy with his choice and impressed with me being satisfied with mine. Patrick the owner was there watching over things and gave us a friendly wave. So overall this was a great place even for someone not coming in with the greatest attitude.Clean spaces With Friendly faces
Waiter was very knowledgeable and very friendly, the atmosphere of the place was dim and cozy, perfect place for a date. The sushi was delicious, good presentation, and excellent mouth feel. Sadly had to take one star off cause I did get sick, but who knows what that was about. Will be going back there again and to give it a second go and to hopefully update the rating to a 5 stars.
Cafe Icon did an awesome job catering for a birthday party we had this evening. Their sushi is always very tasty and fresh. The presentation on the party platters was like beautiful artwork. But most importantly, the owners care about their business and care about the people they serve. Great customer service! If you haven’t been to Cafe Icon yet, check them out!
Very delicious and high quality sushi. My favorite is the kaboom. Edamame is always delicious too. We did a fish sampler too and loved it as well. Patrick the owner is so nice and staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about menu items.
The only place in Oklahoma I will get sushi or seafood from. So delicious. If you’re looking for both quality food and a quality experience, this is your place. Great place for a date. The crab cakes are unbelievable and topped with their sweet sauce. Just go try it!
The very BEST sushi I’ve had in okc.. I had a tiger roll with no avocado(allergy) and it was 10/10. Also the crab Rangoon sticks were incredible! Fast service. Super friendly owner. I will be back soon!
My family has been coming to Café Icon for years and we love it! The wait staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. Love coming here for date night - fresh food, and the atmosphere is awesome!Recently tried the Salmon Sensation roll and it’s awesome! The fact I’ve been coming here for years but they’re still adding new stuff to the menu is what I love. My favorite rolls are still there, but Patrick and his wife have new stuff to try so I don’t get bored. I definitely recommend stopping by!
My family has been going to Cafe Icon for years. Patrick has always been pleasant and friendly. My wife and I went last night on a date night and were seated by Patrick. He said they had no tables really (there were literally 3 other patrons as it was approximately 5:10). He said he had two large parties coming. After we were seated, we sat there for 20 minutes and no waiter (which to my count there were at least 4 and maybe 5) ever greeted us and asked us we even wanted water. We tried on two occasions to get a passing waiters attention and to our surprise were not acknowledged. I would not like to think this happened but it appeared this was done on purpose so we would leave given the large parties coming which we did leave and at which time the waiter finally acknowledged us and said thanks for coming. It will be the last time we go there and while we where not the party of 15 and 17, we had been patrons for years. Perhaps they were worried about having enough sushi for the parties but then close the restaurant down. Again, there were three other parties there and open tables everywhere which my wife and I found odd that the statement was made there were no open tables. It wasn’t 6:30 when it is really busy, was barely past 5:00. It was a really bad experience and really surprising and seems like a bad business model to make customers leave.
Rolls are small and they give you very tiny and very thin slice of raw fish, not worth paying $17 for a roll. Sushi Neko is much better.
