Dax was our waiter and took excellent care of our 3 generation table ⦠in addition to being my favorite Oklahoma restaurant, the staff at the 501 is superb.
My wife and I try to eat here once a week for lunch. We have noticed a decline in food and speed at lunch over the last couple of months but the girls who work are always very nice and it doesn't seem to be at their fault. This is our first time eating during dinner since the holiday season. We were saddened to see the quality and presentation of food decline at dinner also. The waiters were friendly enough but not attentive and seemed more interested in talking with each other. It might be time to take a break from cafe 501 while the owners work on improving.
The Cafe 501 salad is fresh and delicious, artichoke dip with fresh fried chips and sauces delicious, the fish main was very tasty as was the chicken parmigiana. Justice made strong, delicious cocktails and attended to our every need in a very professional and friendly manner. The ambience was very nice with stylish interior decor, music not too loud, and other servers and a manager taking their jobs seriously (not the usual goofing off that we experience at other restaurants). Thank you, Cafe 501.
Not happy with the service or food. Also they charge for refills on the soda but the waitress didnât tell me that beforehand. It was ridiculous.
This was my first time here and I was not impressed. Even after asking the hostess to seat us at a booth, she proceeded to seat us at a table and told us that all the booths were reserved. Mind you there were no reserved signs on those tables and two of those "reserved" booths sat empty 2 hours after we were seated(I'm going to say the hostess lied, not sure why ð¤·). Our waitress Irene was very awkward and slow. We asked for a side of Nutella, which is on the menu for another item, but she told me they couldn't do that. Then we asked for a side of salsa to go with a clearly Mexican style menu item, which we had to ask for more than once and she told us they didn't have salsa. This breakfast cost us $50 with tip and that was without alcohol! The food was not worth the price and and the service was definitely not worth the price.
Overall, I was disappointed by the quality of the food and service. It was a Friday night and the dining area was extremely busy and loud. Our waitress had too many tables, so the service was slow and not very attentive. We had to send some of the food back because it was cold. Also I had a filet, which is usually wonderful. The meat was prepared well, but way too salty. My husband had the buttermilk fried chicken and it was tough and cold. We eat at this restaurant often, so we were surprised by the less than stellar food and service.
Excellent as always!
Our server was super friendly, helpful and on top of our needs.
Not good the brunch sandwich was burnt. The servers were noisy and the chef yelled at a employee so loud every one in restaurant jumped.
Relaxed and attractive atmosphere, nice choices on the menu, delicious food and friendly and professional staff.
